Incorrect. Because along with modern transportation, we have modern medicine. There is very little we can’t do. It just takes competence

He never shut down travel. Merely put some restrictions on some people. Americans continued to travel to and from China, but more importantly, to and from many other affected regions in the world which is why ultimately it was not an effective strategy by itself.

Do you realize that there were people that have criticized him for years because they felt he had too much power and was trying to grab more. In fact you come to mind as one of those complaining about that all the time

We give the president power to act in times of emergency. Real emergencies. Not fake emergencies. When Trump grabs power for his own personal, political means, he weakens the trust we place in the executive to act in times like this.

There was no desperation in my reply.

A free market is by definition free from government interference. Given government is paying for the ventilators and forcing private industry to build then, I’d say we are about as far from a free market as we could be in peace time. Your post ignored this.

Italy enacted travel restrictions that were more strict than ours ON THE SAME DAY as Trump, they ended all flights to China whereas we stopped entry of foreign nationals from theonly.

I am sure that there are several companies in italy capable of making them,,in fact I am sure there are hundreds of them,

its not an insult,,,I dropped out 3 times and hold it as a badge of honor,,,I rejected the indoctrination and still managed to become a successful business owner and currently am sitting out the pandemic on a 12 acre farm thats paid for with nothing to worry about except other people ******* with me,,,
