Fool, it was never meant to be affordable, the design all along was the creation of a much larger program, single payer National Health care program, direct from the pages of socialist Europe. From the offset it was designed as a stepping stone, once failed transition into a national program. Fools like myself will be unable to afford gold standard private care, Que up and pray you don't get sick.
As for the best and brightest medical practitioners, they will privatize their services outside of the national program and serve only the wealthiest of clients. Then there is the R&D, pharmaceutical firms, soon to be mandated by law to follow the same path all the major health insurance companies endured.
What about common American citizen? simply put they get the short end of the stick, pay taxes, and get what their ignorance afforded them.
The winners, nonproductive wards of the state, and political establishment. Can't wait until the healthcare review panels play God.
