Think why Democrats changed their tunes. Was it them believing with illegals they had new voters? Before you say no way, think why they refuse to vote for the new Save America law? Why do they oppose it?

In the short term the dems saw the money to be made with NGO grift streams.
Add to that the unions that opposed illegal immigration in those people's heyday are much weaker now as is the dem's total hold on blacks.
They also saw how the "long game" of a generational dem voter base (anchor babies) could work in their favor.
They also figured that if they open the border then the millions of illegals who crossed into our country would get some sort of amnesty by and by.
