One would have hoped after all of these years, Israel would have at least helped in the healing by admitting the truth. As mentioned in this thread, the men are dying off and it would be nice for those remaining to be honored with that admission.

Israel will never admit it.

That would open up the possiblity of prosecutions.

I don't understand why this isn't admitted by the US by now, when the evidence is so overwhelming. If I understand it correctly, US was an ally of Israel during the war so why would it need a reason to interfere in the war?

And why weren't the people responsible for this brought in front of court? if I understand it correctly the president violated US laws by ordering the attack on the liberty through Israel. Or will the evidence not stick to him when brought to court?

I am more inclined to believe the comments of the sailors onboard and others directly involved, as opposed to any governmental investigation or statements. The eyes did not lie to me, the truth was there. No exaggeration, no mistaking what was lived through.

It's a shame that those lives will never be completely respected as they should be, by both governments.
