These are the same kids who laugh at our generation because we can't figure out how to use our smartphones or don't know what facebook or twitter is

Maybe they laugh at you. There is no we. I have no problem using any of them. I choose not to use Twitter and Facebook because they are merely data vacuums, of no use to me.
Take away their gadgets, and you have Idiocracy. What happens when the power goes out?

When I was in 5th grade, I had to memorize all the state capitals. Didn't help me as an adult. Today you can just Google a state capital if you need it.
I had access to the card catalog and list of periodicals at the library for research. Today's kids have 1000 times the information in their pocket if they need it
