Zone1 Religious question

my father worked for the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Illinois. H started off as a Linotype Operator and moved to typeset with a Mainframe Computer when they were invented. They sold him a 3 bedroom house with a basement across the street for 30k and he and I had access to the place 24/7. They printed all the Pamphlets for most of the Denominations in the US and some magazines including the Model T Magazine. Back in the 70's I had access to their Library and everything on the Faith of Christianity and I studied them on my free time.

There are more Books of the Bible then they put in the King James version. He didn't like them and chose not to include them. And there were many books of explanations of the Bible and other Religious texts. I got my information from them.
True some stuff I elaborated myself using logic and common sense.

Everyone in Heaven are Brothers was in one of those texts

Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven because God can't accept the impure and we are all impure. Since even the memory of a sin is a sin that has to be removed. And memory of thing you are proud of or accomplish are sins. Yelling at a rainstorm is a sin. Everything is a sin so the only way you can get into Heaven is to strip all memories of this life.

Follow the light and the spirit is always interpreted as a light so we are all little lights joining the big light.

Our reward is eternal bliss or ecstasy. ie. you will spend all eternity in pure ecstasy unable to think of anything else.

Nothing we did in life will matter in Heaven once forgiven. Even those in Purgatory gets a second chance at accepting Christ, even Hitler and Gandhi.

Lucifer was from a fictional series.

The rest are just theories of mine.
If God made us and we are impure, than that is God's doing and we aren't at fault or to be blamed for it.
Unless God is crazy and schezoo ...

In a Universe of about 13 to 18 billion years age since the Big Bang*, and with Earth about 4.5 billion years old and a star/Sun slightly older than that, we are relative newcomers to the Cosmos.

Given how much was here before we were, it's probable that beings from other star system(s) may have come here long ago, started a colonization program, things went a little awry, and they had to do some tinkering with the genetics of local lifeforms to enhance their chances to survive.

along the way and in that process, we Humans occurred (we made), and for various reasons the real story had to be cloaked in allegory and fables to hand to the modified natives - we humans. Distraction and/or deception is part of the plan to protect the real identity of those involved in creating us.

* When one engages the concepts of eternity, no Begin and no End, one then needs to think in terms of a Big Bang, followed by a Big Collapse, followed by another Big Bang, followed by another Big Collapse, etc. With no beginning point nor an end point.

Bible Old Testament is mangled transcribe from ancient Sumerian Enuma Elish, and other writings of theirs regarding "creation" and other Origins.
"God" referred to is plural and references the Anunnaki who did genetic manipulations on earlier hominoids ("ape-man") to make Homo Sapiens Sapiens
Those Anunnaki being intersteller colonists who settled this star system hundreds of thousands of years ago. When disaster struck their homeworld systems and left them semi-stranded here, they had to improvise a bootstrap solution to regaining the economic and industrial base lost.

Genetic manipulations of an indigenous species to accelerate it's evolution plus a kick-start it on the path of civilization was the best available solution. Lacking enough of their own species to be the guards/wardens they chose to implement assorted religions as a population control mechanism, to avoid eventual usurpation by the workers(humans). With assorted religions that hosted slight differences between each other, they were able to set in place a system where those religions would keep enough of the lower worker species cowered and also distracted being at each others throats via the occasional religious wars.

Most of the "Gawds" ~ Gods/Goddesses are you know who, playing roles and messing with the minds of their worker servants.

Did you read the link?
Okay, I've read your link. I'll address the last one now.

When God spoke to Moses, it was the WORD OF GOD delivered by an angel. The angel delivered God's message and acted on behalf of God. Much as a good cop acts on behalf of the State. No, it was not God the Father, but an angel sent by the Father.

No. I've "debated" every "contradiction" you people have thrown at me. They have ALL been debunked. You guys keep repeating the same material. Never anything new
If you didn't read the link then you can never know that.

That is not what I read. I read Moses aged after looking at the face of God.

Another point:
A guy I went to school with received the death penalty in Tennessee, I believe in 2019, for a double murder.

Nobody says he was executed by Fred Smith who pulled the lever, but was executed by the State of Tennessee, because this person pulled the lever with the full authority of the State

Since God created man first and Woman from his rib why does all mankind have nipples. Men can't Breastfeed and there aren't any other unnecessary partss that I can think of.

I know the answer and can provide the answer if nobody else does.

Why is Adam portrayed with a Belly Button?

Here are some contradictions in the Bible. They do not answer the above two questions though.
SAB Contradictions
The short answer is that allegory or parable does not worry about unimportant details and may or may not care about technicalities, artist renditions usually come from personal vision/perspective/bias and may or may not be even close to accurate, and there was no artwork or photographs or video of the events in the Biblical creation stories.

You want to believe there are inconsistencies so you will.
I wanted to learn the truth and at the time I was a Christian. The more I learned about this Religion and others the more I believed all Religions are man made. There may be an afterlife and there may be 1 or more superior beings in it, I don't know. So I can't be an Atheist. I am a an Agnostic.

Your belief is based on Faith not fact. There are a lot of things you can have faith in. Dianetics and Aliens. Pastafarians. Or Satanism. They all require faith too.

And mostly were word of mouth stories for generations until someone wrote a book. Mormon believes Jesus came to America and met with the Natives and an Angel gave Joseph smith the gift of tongues so he could translate from precious metals writings to book form that he found under the trunk of a tree. That must've been one big ass trunk.

It was the integrity of the Hebrew/Israelite/Jewish oral traditions that give me confidence in the Biblical text though.

Back when schools were still providing comprehensive education with no indoctrination of students, we all had to memorize some prose and poetry and memorization of Bible verses was a strong tradition in Sunday Schools. Prisoners of War in WWI, II, Korea, Vietnam recite how comforting it was to recite those Bible verses from memory to help them get through that horrendous ordeal.

And when you figure those earliest Jews were almost certainly far more schooled and practiced in precise memorization/recitations/oral tradition makes me able to believe they were pretty good at recalling it all and writing it down in manuscripts decades after the actual events.

I don't fault those who now believe the Genesis stories literally as it does not harm them or anybody else to do so. I personally believe they were theological illustrations and/or teaching allegory to make a point. I don't require anybody else to share my belief about that though.

You call having students memorize Bible versus in Public Schools not indoctrination of them?

BTW that one sample you provided wasn't the last it was the first.

It is, and it isn't.
As Ding is trying to say, everything is a creation of the Creator="God"; hence the Bible is the "Word of God", but not the most complete or accurate "Word of God". Just like everything else that exist is "God" ~ Gawd".

"God" as "Creator of All" has no physical shape or biological characteristics such as Sex/Gender. Is neither He nor he, but more likely just "It".
Are there any Bible verses that tell us that God has no physical shape or biological characteristics such as sex/gender? If I recall, the Bible seems to refer to God as a He or Father and that mankind have been created in the very image and likeness of God.
