Can anyone explain if redistricting for this upcoming midterm elections will either make no difference at all, or benefit one party over the other, and if so why.
The 2022 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. During this mid-term election year, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. Thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested. This will be the first election affected by the redistricting that will follow the 2020 United States census.

If we had an honest and fair election today the Democrats would all be packing their bags right now.
None of them would win.

Seeing how the last two census' results were during democrat regimes, they have already gerrymandered the districts--beyond minor tweaks, I don't expect to see much change.

Redistricting is legal, SCOTUS. Even if it looks like a snake.

Many contentious views imo.

The rules for redistricting vary from state to state, but all states draw new legislative and congressional maps either in the state legislature, in redistricting commissions, or through some combination of the state legislature and a redistricting commission. Though various laws and court decisions have put constraints on redistricting, many redistricting institutions continue to practice gerrymandering, which involves drawing new districts with the intention of giving a political advantage to specific groups.[1] Political parties prepare for redistricting years in advance, and partisan control of redistricting institutions can provide a party with major advantages.[2] Aside from the possibility of mid-decade redistricting,[3] the districts drawn in the 2020 redistricting cycle will remain in effect until the next round of redistricting following the 2030 United States Census.

It's a little long, but accurate.

Thats messed up, in most states the lines are drawn by politicians.
However, I dont have a solution to that problem, other than his suggestion of independent commissions.
At least he admits in the video that both parties are guilty of gerrymandering, and I wonder how many districts will end up in courts.

Nope. Redistricting is done by state legislatures with governor, and as with the past 2 decades the Republicans rule most state gvts and the gerrymandering will once again, be in their favor, (to cheat). :) 3 decades in a row....

A couple of articles Ive read have stated exactly that.
Thats one of the reasons Im curious how this might play out for the midterms.
So many lines being drawn between cities, rural areas, racial divisions, industries, etc..

I have several months to learn more before the midterms but articles like this one are no doubt helpful in explaining things. ;)

270 to win has a projection for the 2024 presidential election. Redistricting should be in place for 2022.

I didn't see any 2024 presidential projection?
In 2022 the GOP should take the House back easily.
Looking ahead to the 2022 Senate races, here is a primer:

(5) Republicans who barely won last time:
Murkowski (AK)
Blunt (MO)
Burr (NC)
Toomy (PA) retiring
Johnson (WI)

(5) Democrats who barely won last time:
Mark Kelly (AZ)
Bennet (CO)
Warnock (GA)
Masto (NV)
Hassan (NH)

Assuming the "out" party usually wins seats, looks like the House and Senate will go GOP in 2022, unless the RNC morons screw it up <again>. Doug Collins should NEVER have been put up against Kelly Loeffler, she would have won easily.

2024 GOP Presidential nominees
Mike Pence
Ted Cruz
Mike Pompeo
Nikki Haley
Tom Cotton
Kristi Noem (VP pick)

Not Hogan, Rubio, Christie, Graham, or any Trump or "Never-Trumper"

Is this the interactive projection map youre referring to ?
Ive read articles saying this is going to be the biggest battle of redistricting in years and Im wondering how many cases will end up in court and be closed prior to the 2022 elections.
