Redistricting

Can anyone explain if redistricting for this upcoming midterm elections will either make no difference at all, or benefit one party over the other, and if so why.
The 2022 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. During this mid-term election year, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. Thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested. This will be the first election affected by the redistricting that will follow the 2020 United States census.
270 to win has a projection for the 2024 presidential election. Redistricting should be in place for 2022.
I didn't see any 2024 presidential projection?
In 2022 the GOP should take the House back easily.
Looking ahead to the 2022 Senate races, here is a primer:

(5) Republicans who barely won last time:
Murkowski (AK)
Blunt (MO)
Burr (NC)
Toomy (PA) retiring
Johnson (WI)

(5) Democrats who barely won last time:
Mark Kelly (AZ)
Bennet (CO)
Warnock (GA)
Masto (NV)
Hassan (NH)

Assuming the "out" party usually wins seats, looks like the House and Senate will go GOP in 2022, unless the RNC morons screw it up <again>. Doug Collins should NEVER have been put up against Kelly Loeffler, she would have won easily.

2024 GOP Presidential nominees
Mike Pence
Ted Cruz
Mike Pompeo
Nikki Haley
Tom Cotton
Kristi Noem (VP pick)

Not Hogan, Rubio, Christie, Graham, or any Trump or "Never-Trumper"

Every GOP Presidential Nominee is going to be from the swamp?

If the projections are true....the blue creep (or blue creeps if you prefer) are taking root.

They may be from the swamp, but they aren't part of it.
"The Swamp Rats" are generally democrats and Never-Trumpers, aka "globalists", taking money from anyone and everyone.
The GOP nominee needs to be an "America First Populist" who brings jobs back to the US and protects the US from China and unfair trade deals.

A career politician isn't a member of the swamp? Everyone you mentioned is a career politician and a Washington insider (expect for Noem) who will never see the White House (more than likely).

Seeing how the last two census' results were during democrat regimes, they have already gerrymandered the districts--beyond minor tweaks, I don't expect to see much change.
Nope. Redistricting is done by state legislatures with governor, and as with the past 2 decades the Republicans rule most state gvts and the gerrymandering will once again, be in their favor, (to cheat). :) 3 decades in a row....
Take a look at the gerrymandering that is done in all of those blue left coast states. SMH.

Some career pols are NOT members of the DC swamp.
By definition, "the swamp" is where pols use their position to make money for themselves, instead of working for their constituents. Know who made a lot of money for himself in the last 47 years?

ALL, will end up in court is my guess....

Do you believe all these judges appointed by McConnell will directly effect the outcomes ?

Hard to say. I can only hope they stand up for the people's right, to choose their leaders via their vote vs the State legislatures gerrymandering to essentially choose and silence their votes.

Or, basically....Will the courts choose to be partisan, or will they choose to protect the citizens right to vote for their choice in leaders...? Hope is all I got, that it's the latter....

Redistricting is RIGGING elections, period. BOTH parties do it. The scheme is to RIG the election so heavily for a Dem or Rep that voters have no real choice. The Dem or Rep party then hand picks the candidate for that district and throws buckets of money at defeating any non establishment upstart who may choose to run. That voters chose the candidate is a fantasy, and that's why the DC establishment OWNS that representative and their vote once they arrive in Washington.

I admit it was a loaded question.
After seeing how most all Trump appointed judges decided after the election, I wont hold my breath.
I too hope they stand for the people and make the right choice. From what Ive read so far, this midterm is much anticipated like never before.

However, I dont have a solution to that problem, other than his suggestion of independent commissions.
That IS the solution. Another would be to use artificial intelligence to draw the districts.

How about just some plain old intelligence for Democrats?
And yet it is in mostly Democratic led states where independent redistricting commissions are in place. Yeah, I guess that does make them dumb for not gerrymandering like Republicans.

True.
The only non-politician I would vote for as president is Elon Musk.
But he is not a born American, too bad, he'd be great at straightening the US out.

Is there a non-pol you suggest?

Some career pols are NOT members of the DC swamp.

It's hard to imagine such a rare thing.
True, it is rare. To get re-elected takes a lot of cash, so they probably get tempted so much that it happens automatically over time. Probably why rich guys take the job, because they're used to handling money and staying out of jail. Unlike the one congressman who had his freezer full of cash.

So thats why they call it cold hard cash

No need.

You'll vote for whomever has an R next to their name in 2024. You know it. I know it. The last 4 years bluster about the "swamp" and "deep state" will be a memory

3. In 2016 Americans were fed up with the DC "deep state", before that it was the "Tea Party". Trump is the answer. You'll see in November.

It was time to "drain the DC swamp".

Because your "outrage" at them was all bullshit.
