Zone1 Reasons why atheists don't want to believe there is a God

He does exist. And He is not silent. He is very hands-on if we let Him. He left that choice up to us.
He gave us an instruction manual, and made 1/4 of it predictions, so we would know He exists. He showed off in Genesis, when He told us how He creates things out of nothing.
He is not some aloof dictator with a hammer, but a loving father, with open arms, and he has waited all this time to talk to you. He loves you beyond words and forgives your shortcoming over and over if you ask Him to. He sacrificed His loving Son in order to get you into heaven. He knows you so well that he can tell you how many hairs you have on your head.
I know how to prove His existence. And He says if you don't believe Him then try Him on it. Take 10% of your next paycheck, right off the top, before you spend any of it. Take that to a church or preacher. Since all good things come from God, he feels that 10% of what he gives you should go to feed His shepherds. If you take that 10% and take 25% of that and add it to your tithe, your cup will overflow, and your circumstances will change dramatically.

You made $100.00
Ten percent is $10.00
25% of ten dollars is $2.50.

And when you realize that your Father is real, start looking into the gift His beloved Son, Jesus, gave you.
I want to say, “side bar” like they do in the movies in the courtroom. I can actually give my testimony that I tithed from the time I was 11 years old (1990) until March 2020. When I stopped things went down hill slowly for me and have led me to the point of homelessness and basically two years of unemployment with a few exceptions in that two years. You might be on to something.

Pray harder. They all say god wants you to have all you need, so you must not be good enough.

Atheists don't "want" to believe in gods for approximately the same reasons mathematicians don't "want" to believe that 2 + 2 = 5.

Do you understand what a moralistic and providential God means?

If I said to you that successful behaviors naturally lead to success and failed behaviors naturally lead to failure that sounds like just good old common sense. But that’s the core belief of a moralistic and providential God.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it all works out.

So-called "Christians" have a form of differential morals. They turn them on an off at will.

Not sure Jesus is nicer than the white god despite love, trust, and faith if Jesus exists and if all the other gods exist, maybe have the atheists right.

I am Christian and atheist.

Alcohol does not harm.

YOU are either one or the other. My reason for believing a non-existent is deity simple. God did not create man, man created god. There is no god, never has been, never will be. Early Man looked at the Sun and saw a god. Man looked at the Sun and saw a god. Man looked at the Moon and saw a god. Man felt the wind and saw a god. Man felt the rain and saw a god. Man needs a god for whatever perverted reason he has.

never will be.
