Zone1 Really?

No and I don't see how that answers my question. Mormons deny the Trinity. Catholics and Christians don't.
I'm a Christian and I don't believe in the personhood of the Holy Spirit.

Yet they consider themselves Christians. Most "Protestants" ( what a lazy catch-all term) don't believe in or practice a great number of things the Catholics do. They don't even have the same Holy book. To lump them together is ridiculous in my opinion. And I'm far from alone in that.

It means what it says.
Not so much anymore. I don't live my Christian life protesting Catholicism. I've had many friends, and girlfriends, that were Catholic. We just never discussed religion.

Y'all know Martin Luther was a devout Catholic priest, right? He "protested" what he saw as corruptions in the church of his day. From this division came many more divisions within the Protestant movement until we got to where we are today.

All followers of Christ are Christians despite whatever other differences or distinctions have arisen over time. Frankly, whatever religion one may follow, all people of true faith deserve respect. Love thy neighbor...

It seems to me that a lot of people on this site who profess to be Christian often forget this one:

"Each of you knows that the foundation of our faith is charity. Without it, our religion would crumble. We will never be truly Catholic unless we conform our entire lives to the two commandments that are the essence of the Catholic faith: to love the Lord, our God, with all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves."— Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
You seem to missing this reality= Where as its a fine thing to share a temp fix, Jesus gave all the permanent fix. Yet not one single trinity based religion teaches Jesus' reality along with the temp fix-WHY? When it is one single teaching applied. The reason in reality is-they do not listen to Jesus.

Too bad. You missed an opportunity for enriching discussion. I've had long and interesting discussions about religion with people of just about every faith.

Well except cat owners. My poodle tells me they have no souls.

I doubt you truly believe that. Especially for religions that don't espouse racial, and gender equality. No matter how faithfully, and fervently they believe...

Then you are mistaken.
So you are tolerant of, and have respect even for the intolerant. Lol! I guess we'll never hear you call anyone sexist, or racist again. Good to know...

All followers of christ are becoming divided between two camps. Those are, the literal believers and the rational Christians such as Ding who can no longer believe in his bible due to his acceptance of the bibles are based upon and made up of lies. He's going to find himself on the winning side of course.

No matter how much the literal believers try to silence Ding and his fellow dissenters and backsliders, the exposure of the lies can't be stopped now.

I love discussing the Bible, religion not so much.

Well, the devil does seem to be getting the upper hand. :omg:

I don't have to agree with them to have respect for the fact that they have faith. I have and will voice my disagreement as vehemently as necessary, but I have faith that they (or their descendants) will get the idea eventually.

Ding is not Satan. Ding is not yet captured the majority but according to my thread on the 'bibles being lies', he's close to 50/50. And that's on this board that has turned to censoring free speech that supports him.

Literal belief in the bibles is for those who choose to live in their fantasy world of lies. Are you with Ding and I yet?
