Cut spending.
Eliminate Socialist Security, MediScam, and Welfraud.
Slash military spending, getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan and reducing the size of our armed forces to the level needed solely to defend our nation, not attack other nations.
Transfer more functions back to the state level WHERE THEY BELONG

Then we might be able to keep taxes where they are and pay off the debt in short order.
Then the economy might rebound as the excessive cost of doing business would be reduced.

Then, with the debt eliminated the federal government might reduce taxes to a more reasonable level and not go in the hole.

Too bad the self serving hypocrites in Washington won't release their grip on power just to do right by America.

They can't stop spending. They just passed yet another huge entitlement program that will likely go bankrupt in a few years. The only thing they can do is raise taxes and hope the people don't revolt.

And when the people revolt?

They will be referred to as revolting people by the administration and the press.

I am all for slashing government salaries, most entitlements and most all military spending. However, I do like having government agencies that try to ensure I have clean air to breath, other private entities arent raping the world around me, the food I eat is safe, and those that actually unable to care for themselves have some minumun standard of comfort afforded to them.

And I am for slashing the # of jobs within government, eliminating all federal government entitlement programs, holding military contractors accountable and not paying them for deliverables not delivered... Most people do like things for the good of the populace as a whole, including effective agencies such as the FDA, the courts, etc... And when it comes down to those 'unable to take care of themselves', unfortunately that is not the case with the VAST majority that receive entitlements.... very few would actually be 'wards of the state', and those that are should indeed lose certain rights (just as other wards of the state do, such as mental patients, prisoners, etc)
