Do you think racial profiling by law enforcement is acceptable in high crime areas that are dominated by a particular race? Why or why not?

If the majority of people profiled in a place are the people who are the majority in that place, then it's not racial profiling.
You don't look for Apples in the veggie section.

race race race race skin color skin color skin color . that's all we are today to these people trying to tear this country apart. I don't care if they profile people with pink skin if it can save LIVES

There are also many diseases that are racist as well, will Obama condemn them as the racists bugs they are?
Sickle cell comes to mind.

There are many single gene genetic disorders that differ in frequency between different populations due to the region, though many assume it to be solely based on race.[14] Examples include:

  • Cystic fibrosis, the most common life-limiting autosomal recessive disease among people of Northern European heritage
  • Sickle-cell anemia, most prevalent in populations with sub-Saharan African ancestry but also common among Latin-American, Indian, and Saudi Arab populations, as well as those people of South European regions such as Turkey, Greece, and Italy[15][16]
  • Thalassemia, most prevalent in populations having Mediterranean ancestry, to the point that the disease's name is derived from Greek thalasson, "sea"
  • Tay–Sachs disease, an autosomal recessive disorder more frequent among Ashkenazi Jews than among other Jewish groups and non-Jewish populations[17]
  • Hereditary hemochromatosis, most common among persons having Northern European ancestry, in particular those people of Celtic descent
  • Lactose intolerance affects (over their lifetime) as many as 25% of Europeans but up to 50-80% of Hispanics, along with people from southern India and Ashkenazi Jews, but nearly 100% of Native Americans.[18]

Racial profiling is an invention of the regressives and defense lawyers, the real name is criminal profiling and it's totally acceptable.

You should never profile if you are in law enforcement. For starters it automatically locks you in. You miss things that are right in front of your face because you are too busy looking at something else.

"In a study that challenges currently held views, researchers at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC), in Portugal, unravel the molecular mechanism whereby sickle cell hemoglobin confers a survival advantage against malaria, the disease caused by Plasmodium infection. These findings, by the research team lead by Miguel P. Soares, open the way to new therapeutic interventions against malaria, a disease that continues to inflict tremendous medical, social and economic burdens to a large proportion of the human population."

"Individuals carrying just one copy of the sickle mutation (inherited from either the father or mother) were known not to develop sickle cell anemia, leading rather normal lives. However, it was found that these same individuals, said to carry the sickle cell trait, were in fact highly protected against malaria, thus explaining the high prevalence of this mutation in geographical areas where malaria is endemic."

I and others who work where we do are profiled dailey going in and out. we even have to buy a special card with that cool RFID thing in it. I get profiled. No big.

When one race commits crimes at a rate 3 times higher than any other, then yeah, racial profiling should be used.

Stopping people for questioning because of their race is unconstitutional, violating its core promises of equal protection under the law to all and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures. Perhaps in these high crime areas you also want to take away 2nd amendment rights allowing folks to protect themselves too?
