Queens man gets four years for shooting a mugger

A couple of strikes to the throat with a pen can kill you just as dead as any gun or knife can.

.

Wasn't my point. My point was he could have pointed a gun at the dude and that would most likely have deescalated the situation.

He got 4 years, tells me he used EXCESSIVE FORCE.

However the right think "excessive force" doesn't exist. Someone knocks on your door, shoot the ******. Someone looks at you wrong, shoot the ******.

It's easier than thinking. Same as voting for Trump.

Perhaps you should have paid more attention to the thread, he wasn't convicted of the shooting, he was convicted of unconstitutional weapons possession charges, 26 counts.

Just a reason to jail him. After all ,in the Dem book ,Muggers have RIGHTS. So do Cutthroats and Lady Burners--As long as they are Minorities

A 67-year-old man who fatally shot a would-be mugger during a robbery gone wrong has been jailed for four years.

Charles Foehner, from Queens, New York, appeared stone-faced as he arrived at Queens County Criminal Court Thursday morning for sentencing.

Foehner, a retired doorman, was walking to a parking garage outside his Queens apartment when the alleged mugger lunged at him with a sharp object about 2am on May 31, 2023.

Comment:
In most states the mugging victim would probably walk.
NY seems to favor the criminal over the victim.
Society will eventually break down if crime gets out of hand.
New York is run by criminals, for criminals.

Criminals are a cherished voting block for the Democrat Party's coalition of hate.
Don;t be stupider than you have to..

Ohm never mind.
Hey well they could have just taken his guns away and then put him on probation. Was it his first offence ?
He killed someone who waved a ballpoint at him and only got charged with having a bunch of illegal guns.

How much lighter do you want them to go on him?

And I hope he appeals it to SCOTUS, if you have to pay the State to own a firearm then it's not a right as defined in the Constitution, it's an infringement on that right.

.
With todays fully compromised bought and paid for court I wouldn't doubt he could get off.

Capital Policeman Michael Byrd shot unarmed Ashley Babbitt and he was not even charged with violating her civil rights.

Wow, how did they justify 26 counts for one weapon and one incident?

The far left make it hard to own a gun in NYC.

Why has that never been challenged? Seems to me that is contrary to "keep and BEAR arms"

He was convicted of having an "arsenal" of unlicensed guns in his apartment. Not for shooting anyone.

Why can't you people ever tell the truth?

Case is still bullshit, crep.

Mr. Foehner's home would have never been searched in a civilized jurisdiction. The warrant was bogus as the persecutors were on a Fishing Expedition, looking for something to charge him with.

Further, the sentence of prison time was totally excessive, for merely not having proper paperwork for his weaponry.

I could see a small fine and perhaps some community service, but he wasn't convicted of a violent crime and was a peaceful Senior Citizen.

Illegal gun, used in a somewhat questionable shooting?

His house would have been searched in any jurisdiction

I do find your implication that Queens isn't civilized worth a few chuckles though..

Yeah, you seem to be the type that believes a license should be required to exercise a constitutional right. If the State can require a license, it no longer a right, it a privilege to be parsed out by the State at their discretion. Why do you hate the Constitution?

What was "questionable" about the shooting?

A known piece of poop with a record as long as his arm gets shot by a law-abiding senior citizen.

Sort of an expected shooting, really. The robber was on a one way trip to the morgue before he left his house that day.
