Qatar AFB…in Idaho.

You obviously have no grasp on reality. We sell jets to 19 different countries, not all of them have the same advanced technology as ours and we train their pilots.

.
You obviously love sharing your military tech with other countries.

It's like I said, it's not about selling people jets and then training their pilots (possibly to make even more money). US fighter jets, the brain-child of your top military research institutions, should be kept top-secret. This is so that if you ever have to go to war with these countries, you can rape them anally.

Tell me, what did I get wrong? We bring foreign pilots to the US to train them all the time, what's wrong with those countries paying a portion of the freight for the facilities?

.
A foreign military presence on our soil is suddenly a good thing.

And to think…Mexican hair dressers and Nannie’s are what you call an “invasion”

You’re nuttier than a fruitcake

A bit off-topic, but I'm of the view that before this current administration ends, it'll start planting the seeds for Americans to accept foreign forces to police them on their own soil just to see how dumb Americans would be to accept it.

I woudn't put it past the current administration full of foreign-first neo-cons at all to float that stalking horse to see if it woud stick.

All they have to do is designate the foreign entity who is never subject to any meaningful scrutiny and Americans will eat it up like candy just because that's how the programming is generally administered

Hell, they've already established that they have very little regard for the constitution and the proper role of government anyway.

I don't like the sound of it, in fact I hate the sound of it.
Is there any precedent for a foreign nation having an air force, or other military facility on our homeland soil?

You didn't read the link, did ya? They are building a training facility on Mountain Home AFB. And I'm sure they're leasing the ground to do it. Don't buy into the propaganda.

South Korea has a similar type facility at the same base. Read some of the articles this is nothing new.

See, that's what I'd like to know, if this is something we have, or never have done before.

Guys, we have been doing this since Clinton. We have had millions of foreigners pass the training, and then go home.
We are training them for jets they bought from us.

While I'm not a fan of the idea that a state sponsor of terrorism (Qatar) having a training facility for their air force here in the U.S., it's not unusual for countries flying our hardware to have such an arrangement:

Washington — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday announced a finalized agreement that will allow the Qatari Emiri Air Force to build a facility at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho...

...The Singaporean Air Force also has a presence at the Mountain Home base...

At least we now know what $400,000,000.00 "gift" will buy you...

Did you not understand what I said about "not all of them have the same advanced technology as ours"?

I did.

Countries like that might not have the same technology as you do, however, by selling them your fighter jets, you make them a bit more powerful. This is always bad because I assume that you want your country to be top-dog on the world stage.

Foreign military training presence in the United States

The United States does not host any independent foreign military bases. However, several US bases host detachments of foreign militaries and serve as training grounds for foreign personnel, especially pilots. As per the dispatch, these arrangements are designed to enhance interoperability, technical expertise, and strategic cooperation with allied nations. Below is a breakd ..

Which countries have military training presence in the US? Qatar joins list with new Idaho facility

You can stop the propaganda now, you're obviously ignorant of how the world works.

BTW, we have about 800 bases in 80 countries.

propaganda? Muslim nations now have a base on US soil.

15th post
lol..sure. Next you’ll tell me the F15 is not a war plane.
Yeah, that was a really dumb thing that he said.

The purpose of training pilots to fly fighter jets is so that they can fly these jets....to fight in a war. And with a little bit of (bad) luck, these wars will be with the US.

Seems like a bad idea to me. I’m sure someone will be along shortly to tell me why a foreign national having an air force base here is great for us.

Discuss!
Yep, the government just doesn't learn after the shooting at Pensacola NAS a few years back by a Saudi here training.
