Apparently the Republican party has it's own swamp, beyond the obvious RINOs. Kathy Barnette played the Trumpian role of litmus paper to help identify these jerks. The first indicator was the odd pile on to the Ukraine love fest by the likes of Hannity and Levin, joining that annoying woman Mitch McConnell in that party. Then Kathy Barnette seemed to have a shot at taking down the fake weirdo Dr. Oz and that same crew started with the same tactics the Democrats use to smear opponents.

That endorsement took some shine off of Trump for many of his loyal supporters. Are we really going to have be subjected to that Dr. Oz face on a regular basis? Fits right in with the current cast of characters.

I don't know if these latest developments will affect the elections. I can imagine they might suppress turnout. Lots of Republicans are wondering what the fuck is going on with our party, and we're already fed up with things generally.

If you think the national scene is bad, you'd mess your pants if you saw the condition of the state party machinations.

Arizona and South Carolina GOP are in a metaphorical fist fight to see who might be the most corrupt in the nation, and the Minnsenowta GOP the most committed to squishy milquetoast losers.

Meanwhile, the Democratic party is doing the same thing.

'Richie Mitch' McConnell is the quenticential Washington Establishment self-serving Republican Swamp monster.

He is the poster-boy for do-nothing, gutless play-along-to-get-along / stay-in-office/power Republicans.

He has never liked being in the majority because if you are out front the opposition and media come after you, you have to LEAD - which he has never been good at, and has always believed it is better to be the minority where nothing is expected of you, where it's easier to complain thN lead, and where he is content to kiss Democrat ass and play nice, to make waves, and hold onto his job/seat.

Much like with his chin, McConnell has no spine. The only thing he ever has and will fight for is to keep his seat and position of MINORITY Party leader in the Senate.

Yeah, every time it seems the Republicans have an opportunity to put some distance between them and the Democrats, like when Trump was elected and we had the House and Senate, some mechanism kicks in and stops that from happening. Ryan was the face of that mechanism, but it's obvious now that it is just a part of the general swamp.

The medical, Judicial, and insurance situation in SC is even worse - doctors have a free license to do anything they want to you without fear if repercussions..

The hospitals are almost all owned by Prisma. All the doctors now almost a work for Prisma. Doctors are all insured for malpractice by 2 or 3 insurance companies.

Doctors have been told by the Insurance companies that if they agree to be a witness for plaintiffs in a malpractice suit they could lose their insurance.

Prisma has threatened all the medical employees that if they participate in lawsuits against doctors or the hospitals they could lose their job and never work in a hospital again.

And the lawyer who told me all of this also told me SC lawmakers passed a bill limiting the amount of money a plaintiff could be awarded against the doctors / hospitals that lawyers won't even take cases anymore because they can't make a dime after all the time, effort, and money spent working on cases...not to mention they can no longer get doctors to testify for the plaintiffs anymore.

Everything is rigged against the common citizen these days.

The core GOP is kayfabe controlled opposition....Given their druthers, they'd permanently remain the minority party, sit around disingenuously whining about what they'd do if given the power, and mopping up the corporate graft on the down-low.
