When Putin doesn't accept Donbass and Luhansk as parts of Russia and refuses to launch Malorossia project he will be despised in Russia and probably kicked out from his office.
When he does it he take a risk of WWIII.
When he isn't a moron he must carry out the Project Malorossia right now and to defeat Ukrainian SS Nazis before they attack Russians in Donbass.
The hostility of the West, new sanctions and WWIII he receives at any scenario
