Just as the high rates of drug abuse and crime in the USA indicate a sick society, the high rates of alcoholism and crime in Russia, show how immoral and sick Russian society truly is.

Last but not least, Russia has far fewer citizens locked up in jail than the USA. China and Russia combined don't have as many citizens in jail as the USA does.

Neither country is in any position to lecture anyone on human rights or morality.

It appears that your rational for "morality" revolves around homosexuality and/or abortion. My rationale doesn't revolve around sexual mores, but rather the Christian Commandment to treat others as you would like to be treated and in that respect, no authoritarian dictatorship is "moral".

The state has no right to legislate against abortion on "moral grounds" or because some citizens believe it's "wrong". Those people can choose as I did: to carry all of my pregnancies to term. Their beliefs have not been compromised in any way.

What has been seen time after time, is that the same states that are banning abortion, are the states with the highest rates of maternal death in childbirth, and the highest rates of infant mortality, in the first year of life. Where is all of this "save these babies" fervour when women do choose to have a baby?
