Psaki: ‘Unfair and Absurd’ To Say Companies Would Raise Prices in Response to Tax Increases

REPUBLICANS

Who have blocked minimum wage increases for 12 years.
They need to maintain a low wage workforce for their wealthy masters
The only way that can happen is if the states, cities and counties don't raise their MW.

Exactly
And if he tries to raise prices above what the market will bear he will lose sales

Why business cannot just “pass along” reduced profits
When a business gets slapped with higher costs - be it transport, production, supply, or yes, even taxes or other government regulation- the first inclination is to raise prices and see if the market will bear it. If the market rejects it, then the business will look to trim costs elsewhere (i.e. jobs) in order to sustain profits.

That is the correct motorcycle. Those who don't understand economics seem to think human nature doesn't apply to business owners.

Then that's where you should be protesting. Washington setting a MW is like swatting flies with a sledgehammer.
The problem is that Red States are perfectly willing to fuk over their low wage workers

And if those workers are willing to vote for those legislators, what's your complaint? The solution is NOT to have Washington set a national MW to a level that suits the big blue cities and shoehorn everyone else into it.

Small portion of the workforce with little political clout
Easier to pander to wealthy contributors by giving them a low cost workforce

The same situation exists in blue states. democrats are no better at resisting big donors. Washington is even worse because there's so much more money involved.

Government doesn't provide a low cost workforce--people who work low wage jobs do. It's not your employers nor the governments responsibility to make your labor worth more. That's all up to you. YOU need to take the initiative to learn a skill to make yourself worth more--not government.

What do they call it again when the cost of something goes up but its value does not? That's exactly what we're talking about.

Without a doubt. When you look at the cost of living in heavy blue states and compare them with purple or red, those people are not living any better because they make twice as much as you do. Sure, McDonald's in those areas starting pay is around $20.00 an hour, but they are not doing any better than the McDonald's workers in my state making $12.00.

When Larry Elder was running for Governor, he was fact checked on his statement that the "average" house in CA is 800K. That's the average. It turned out to be true and 800K isn't much of a house in CA. If you buy a house in my area for 800K, you are just about living in a dream home with a generous amount of property.

We can't let them turn our entire country into CA. It benefits nobody and chases jobs out of the country.

The way the world works in PROG is the more you take from employers the more employees earn and the costs of goods and services are reduced. After all, that's only fair.

Here's Psaki demonstrating this common left-loving belief. The message is, do less and get more, everyday is opposite day in PROG.

We've sure come a long way since Kayleigh McEnany.
