They are in delusional mode since the leftist massive attack on energy supplies is a significant factor for the current economic problem.

We've ALWAYS bought petroleum when prices went down to fill govt reserves. But the price of oil is not going to drop back to pre-pandemic levels unless there's a GLOBAL recession. You need to rethink partisanship

It was started by OPEC and a few governments who agreed to sharply reduce oil supply to stop the oil price crash that was showing up and Trump went along with it today the supply is down which caused oil/barrel to go way up.

But Biden has also in numerous decisions shut down many leasing and pipeline construction which means oil production remains low.

Trump did not "go along with it", he lead the push to get OPEC and Russia to slash production to protect the profits of the US oil companies.

But Biden has also in numerous decisions shut down many leasing and pipeline construction which means oil production remains low.

Without a doubt it has been, as is normally the case, a group effort

The only massive attack have been from the Neo-GOP's PR machine, aka Donnie's Groomers. They've been working overtime to point the finger, all fingers, at Biden since Jan 21st. 2021. Even claiming his policies somehow caused the drop in oil production that occurred nearly a year earlier, and all the shock waves that the low production caused when the worlds economies started opening back up again last year.

You just can't trust the former Republicans after they embraced the disgraced Trumpyberra.

You are in confusion since CNN doesn't think so:

New York/Hong Kong (CNN Business)Saudi Arabia and Russia have struck a deal with other major oil producing nations to slash production as they attempt to stabilize a market that has been upended by the coronavirus

Members of OPEC and their allies, including Russia and Mexico, announced Sunday that they have agreed to cut production by 9.7 million barrels a day in May and June, the deepest cut ever agreed to by the world's oil producers. After that, the group will steadily ramp up production until the agreement expires in April 2022.

Trump had only a minor role in this.

In an April 2 phone call, Trump told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that unless the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) started cutting oil production, he would be powerless to stop lawmakers from passing legislation to withdraw U.S. troops from the kingdom, four sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The threat to upend a 75-year strategic alliance, which has not been previously reported, was central to the U.S. pressure campaign that led to a landmark global deal to slash oil supply as demand collapsed in the coronavirus pandemic - scoring a diplomatic victory for the White House.

Sigh, he didn't sign the OPEC (America isn't a member) agreement he pressured several countries to cut oil production but that is all.

Meanwhile you didn't read my link far:

"Jeffrey Halley, senior market analyst for Asia Pacific at Oanda, called the agreement "underwhelming,' and noted that non-OPEC+ oil producers, including the United States, Canada and Norway, have not committed on paper to "actual cuts to production."

red bolding mine

From your god himself...“Just spoke to my friend MBS (Crown Prince) of Saudi Arabia, who spoke with President Putin of Russia, & I expect & hope that they will be cutting back approximately 10 Million Barrels, and maybe substantially more which, if it happens, will be GREAT for the oil & gas industry! “

The market dictated the cuts in US production because the Oil Patch the USA operates in a free market, the oil reserves are not nationalized, unlike many of the OPEC+ nations. The Federal Government doesn't set oil production quota's. All any president has is the bully pulpit to convince the multi national oil corporations to do anything other than boycotting trade to/from certain nations.

Repeating what you ignored:

Paraphasing what I said. They can't speak for independent producers.

Furthermore, once that underwhelming agreement was fully implemented it's effect on the surging demand was not underwhelming and is one of the major causes of the price increases.
