What are the goals of Progressives?
Fairer taxation.
Higher wages for the middle class.
More benefits for workers.
Cleaner air, water, and land.
More jobs for the unemployed.
Education and training for the poor.
Background checks for all gun sales.
Protect the Right to Choose.
Decriminalization of marijuana.
Decriminalization of doctor assisted suicide for the terminally ill.
What is wrong with these goals?
They claim they want lower taxes for working class, but Obamacare has 29 new taxes, 12 of which will affect EVERYONE. Meanwhile, billions are sent in refunds to illegal aliens. And many of those returns are frauds. If they are interested in reducing taxes, why don't they stop sending aid to terrorists, like the Muslim Brotherhood and Syrian rebels, and cut some other wasteful spending, like too damn many vacations? They raise taxes on the middle class, then turn around and say they are for us. Yea, right. Withholdings for Social Security increased for EVERYONE!
They claim they are helping with education, yet the more money they throw at teachers' unions, the worse the schools seem to get. As far as furthering their education, kids should get loans for college and pay them once they graduate. As it is, the poor often get a free ride, yet middle class students don't qualify. Makes no sense considering each of them will be equal once they get the diploma and they can begin paying them back. Right now, graduates from middle class families start off their with debt from student loans, while others aren't saddled with that.
They say they want more jobs for the poor, yet they are always raising taxes to increase welfare benefits, everything from food stamps to education. And those with minimum wage jobs get aid for rent, utilities, food and cash on top of that. Obamacare is making jobs disappear and that is the one thing Dems are most proud of. Never mind that congress, the IRS and the big unions don't want anything to do with Obamacare. Not good enough for them, too expensive and they exempt themselves as they plan to impose it on the rest of us.
Liberals love freedom of choice only if people agree with them. Choose abortion. Great. Choose whether you want health insurance or not. NO! The liberals whine and say we should foot the bill for women to have abortions or we will have to pay to raise the child. The woman chooses, we pay one way or the other. Liberals want women to get abortions and want them funded, yet we are all forced against our will to purchase government-approved health insurance and we could get fined or go to jail if we don't. No sympathy for us if we really can't afford it.
Liberals want everyone to live the way they think they should live. We are told to change things in our own homes. No catching rain water in barrels, but they will eventually tax us on rain water. They want to force us to use curly bulbs, low flow toilets, crappy appliances and they will force us to buy things we might not want.
Of course, liberals want to encourage abortions, even late in the game, and allow doctors to kill patients. It's all about population control.
