In 1956 John F Kennedy wrote a book called Profiles in Courage.
“The book profiles senators who defied the opinions of their party and constituents to do what they felt was right and suffered severe criticism and losses in popularity because of their actions.”

Liz Cheney is one of those profiles in courage.

She understood the consequences of standing up to the excesses of the Trump Administration and was willing to sacrifice her political career to hold him accountable.

Republican leaders like McConnell, McCarthy, Graham sacrificed their integrity and values to pander to Trump’s lies and election fantasies. Their political careers were more valuable than standing up for what is right.

Cheney will go down in history for her political stand and willingness to put Country above Party.
In the long run, she will be better off than if she had sold out

She reminds me of the one Republican that voted to keep Andrew Johnson from being convicted.

Liz Cheney is done as of today.
She's a Never-Trumper even after the FBI raided Trump's home.
She's a pol without a party. Good riddance.
Republicans have not rid themselves of Liz Cheney

She will continue her work on the Jan 6 Committee and be front and center in presenting its findings

She is considering running for President if Trump chooses to run again. Rather than giving Trump a free pass to the GOP nomination, she will force him to debate a candidate who is well versed on his lies and misdeeds

That’s too funny. A devoted D Party cultist like you adores Liz. Lmfao. Dick Cheney’s spawn who agrees with him on all things, you support. Of course you support this crazed corporatist imperialist warmonger only because she opposes Don.

Don really messed you up!

Liz Cheney is the most courageous of the sane Republicans, the others walked away with only tepid criticism of the assault on our democracy, and didn't stand up to Trump, and they also abdicated their House or Senate seat.

Liz did neither. Her place in history is secure, and she likely knows it is far more important than if she was like the other cowards and slithered away with barely a word in their retreat. She stood, and she fought, and her answers in the debates in Wyoming were the only ones that were truthful.

I hate her father, though.

I have never supported Liz Cheneys Conservatism and still don’t.

I do support her integrity in putting Country above Party
Few in her party will

The ironic part is Cheney will be replaced by someone who is not as conservative

But the new Congresswoman has unquestioned loyalty to Trump

The new definition of Republican
I've referred Liz to Dick in a dress, but I know she has some balls. The Republican party is so fractured I can't see it's survival.

That would be a fun debate. Donny would represent special class students well.

the 14 fbi agents that have come forward as whistlerblowers about garland and xiden’s doj are true heroes

there is nothing courages about a rich, spoiled white girl like Cheney who’s whoring herself out for a job at MSDNC

If she ran for president you'd despise her and hit her with every insult and smear you could think of, just like you all did to McCain.

You're a fraud.

Actually the consensus is that JFK never wrote the book but he "authorized" it and did some research. It's another example of what a politician can get away with if the media is totally in support.
