"Pro life" is not a conservative position.

Glad you think it's a laughing matter.
Yes, I thought that was funny. Not sure what having children and advocating for liberty and small govt have to do with each other.

You're advocating for the murder of children, which is a topic outside of 'liberty and small government'. Which is why I don't believe that you have children.

Can people not discuss abortion without clutching emotion? Its not murder. Murder is the ILLEGAL taking of a human beings life.
Bodily autonomy is not outside of it. Forced gestation is not outside of it.

And you're a coward for cutting off the rest of my post. That was a 14 week old baby, fully formed, and you're okay with allowing it to be killed, it's as simple as that.

You want to leave morals completely off the table, how convenient for you. Perhaps you haven't any?

Do you actually think that would ever happen, unless its a medical emergency?

Why does that matter? You either approve of it or you don't, regardless of how many times it happens. A fully formed baby at 14 weeks is 7% of all abortions. You don't care that they are human beings, or that they feel pain, just so you have your 'small government', that's more morally important to you than killing innocent lives.

Name calling? I forget you cant just have a goddamn conversation with people anymore. They are too polarized.
A 14 week old fetus is still in the embryonic stage. Its not fully formed.

WTF do you think bodily autonomy is? What do you think having freedom over your own body is? Its morality.

15th post
It is leftist big govt shit.
How can you give the govt more authority over a persons body than they have? How you can you claim to be conservative, claim to be against big govt, while putting them as overseers over peoples bodies?
Bodily autonomy is one of the most important human rights in existence.
Dont get me wrong, I think abortion is abhorrent, but the govt dictating what we do with our bodies is way worse. Its tyranny.
It makes no sense to me. At all.
When you give people license to scramble the brains of the unborn in-utero and even abort during a birthing process...

When you harvest and sell baby-organs and joke about it over coffee and use abortion like a routine hangover cure...

Such things infuriate that portion of the population which believes that such things are fundamentally evil and must be stopped...

Such folks are usually more Conservative than Liberal in their political alignment...

It's not a "perfect" word-association but the stereotype holds up well enough under statistical analysis to serve effectively...

The way many Conservatives look at it... "If WE don't protect the un-born children then who WILL ?"

And, if they have to depart from their usual disdain for Big Government long enough to accomplish that objective, then the deviation from their own norms will be worth the trouble, in their mindset.

Not exactly difficult to understand, given two seconds of actual and objective thought on the subject, is it?

No such thing.
I ask because it isnt going to happen. Unless there is a medical emergency, and at that point, they would cut it out, not abort it.

No, I do. Thats why I find abortion abhorrent. But I pick liberty over my feelings. The govt doesnt have more authority over our bodies than we do.

Nope, it still is. You are giving the govt more authority over peoples bodies than they have. Thats kicking the most basic human right in the nuts.
There are some sick people out there, I agree. But that doesnt make me deviate from my beliefs and morals.
