Ive mentioned this before and got shouted down by maga.
There is no ICU in a private hospital. If anything goes wrong then the staff call 999 and transfer the patient to a the nearest NHS hospital. That is why they build these places near to proper hospitals.
Sadly for Mrs Khan her on site doctor was working a 168 hour week so missed the signs He would likely be from South Africa or India and maybe had functional language skills.
These places should be licensed to treat patients and minimum standards of care should be introduced. Cutting people open should require a back up plan. At the moment these vultures take the profit while the patient takes the risk.
Spire is a particularly dirty corporation. Nothing more than a tax dodge.
