President Trump: Making America Normal Again

I don’t care wha you think, because I know what the Republicans have said.

Since when is this normal?

Threatening to revoke government contracts because someone says mean things about you isn’t normal at all. It’s pretty corrupt.
I don't know. Do we trust somebody with a contract for a space program who is saying the things about the President and Congress that Musk is saying? That is trying to tear down everything the people's elected representatives are doing instead of pointing out the specific problems with it?

The Big Beautiful Bill is not a spending/omnibus bill but a policy and initiative bill. Elon is brilliant but he is wrong to say that the whole thing should be scrapped. There are so many things in the bill that are critical to U.S. stability and the general welfare--making the Trump 45 tax reforms permanent, border security, etc.--that would be disastrous to not establish via legislation.

Elon should be far more selective in his criticisms as should everybody who is attacking the bill. Yes there are some things that should be debated and possibly removed. But there is far more there that will be beneficial for everybody.

Elon definitely has helped America and Americans with his innovations and initiatives. But should everything in the space program be contracted? These are all problems that will have to be worked out.

You’re defending corruption. Musk has explained his problem with the bill. It adds to the debt.

The idea that government contracts are at risk because he said things Trump doesn’t like is very authoritarian.

What people want and what is possible is two different things

Only if you put your TDS afflicted spin on it. Normal people are actually able to consider other possibilities instead of just I hate Trump.

You have to be a Trump cultist to think of “other possibilities” when the answer is so blindingly obvious.

If sharing the MAGA vision is being a 'Trump cultist' then I am proud to be one. I never saw embracing a concept or a vision as being a 'cultist' though. That's generally another word like "Fascist" or "Nazi" thrown around by the left in a way that bears no resemblance to what the word actually means.

Again Charlie Kirk listed 50 items from the Big Beautiful Bill, most of which are part of the MAGA vision. What on the list do you think shouldn't be there and why?

What you would like to get done and what's possible politically are wo different things
Okay. And what does that mean in context to the discussion.

Wtf? ... Do you need your hand held while you cross the street?.. .it means conservatives would like to have a lot more cuts but it wouldn't be able to pass Congress we only have a slim majority.... Comprende?

So you’re saying that Trump is bad at making deals.

Have you considered working with Dems and finding a compromise? Having to appease all the crazies in your party is really difficult.

You're in a cult because it's nearly impossible for you to criticize Trump for anything. When he does something blatantly corrupt, you pretend it didn't happen or invent implausible alternative explanations to wave it away.

Elon Musk is criticizing legislation, which is his right to do so. Trump responds by musing that he could use his official powers to punish Musk for voicing his opinion.

Is that not fascist?

You don't know me well at all and obviously do not read my posts. But I don't let the chronically TDS afflicted define who I am or what I do. Nor what you assume Trump or anybody else is doing.

If you want to start over, identify any of those things Charlie Kirk pulled out of the Beautiful Big Bill and tell me how it is fascist. If you aren't willing to at least discuss real things instead of TDS manufactured propaganda you're just trolling.

Do have a lovely afternoon.

I'm afraid to criticize the bill given our "very normal" president is prone to threatening to use his government authority against people who speak out against it. That's where the fascism lies. Not in the bill itself, but in Trump's reaction to Musk's criticism of the bill, which you didn't seem to have any problem with.

Trump's threats were indeed very real. Do you want to see them again?

I'm sorry, but you can't possibly presme to think what you just posted here has any truth or integrity however minute. I swear it must be in the water some leftists drink to have so little personal pride as to post something that ridiculous and that anybody would find it even remotely believable.

This is you ignoring the fact that Trump uses government authority to threaten his critics.

I just throught I'd throw this out there. I'm not saying I believe it, but my thoughts sometimes take strange turns in my head.

This dustup between Trump and Musk seems so out of character for them both, and it was so unexpected, that it created a 'what if' possibility for me.

One thing in particular was Musk posting on X that Trump was in the Epstein file. Now everybody knows there is nothing there to hurt trump--even Epstiens lawyer has confirmed that--so for Musk to put that out there maybe doesn't add up well on the credibility meter?

So 'what if' the two of them schemed this up to a) create a mountain of disinformation in the media who are now falling all over themselves to court Musk and then them looking foolish when the "April Fool" aspect is pulled? And also the media has done a complete about face and, instead of damning Trump for possible release of the Epstein file, they are now clamoring for it.

Okay this is probably way out in left field but I just thought I'd throw it out here just in case my more weird curious side is onto something. :)

/——/ It’s a ploy to redeem Musk in the eyes on democRATS so they stop torching his dealerships and vandalizing his cars. Both Musk and Trump are masters at misdirection and democRATs fall for it.

Yep. We all know who buys Teslas.

I thought about that too. I am going to have a huge enjoyable laugh if this was by design. :)
