President Trump: Making America Normal Again

Noting some posts are still so off base, erroneous, mean spirited, non useful they do not merit any response and I'm trying hard to keep my New Year's Resolution this year.

Again, in my opinion Trump and the Republicans won in November mainly due to public disgust, anger, frustration with almost everything the Democrats were trying to sell:

--Irresponsible spending that exacerbated/increased/perpetuated inflation while giving the people little or nothing of value for any of it.

--Open borders that have caused tens of millions of illegal migrants to overrun the country at a very unacceptable cost in blood and treasure to American citizens.

--Promotion/encouragement of lewd, sexually suggestive/explicit public displays and entertainment for children and sexualized curriculum for young children unacceptable to most American values.

--DEI being more important than qualifications or excellence

--CRT encouraging young black people to see themselves as victims and other children to see themselves as racist, both of which is absurd and damaging on the face of it.

--More than two thirds of Americans thought the country was on the wrong course.

--Etc.

Enough voters saw the difference between those things the Democrats offered that were not acceptable versus the MAGA vision that included none of what the Democrats offered but did promise a complete change of course promoting liberty, common sense, traditional values along with a strong, free, secure, prosperous America with maximum reasonable liberty, options, choices, opportunity for pursuit of happiness/prosperity for all Americans rather than certain targeted groups.

And that is why Trump will be back in the White House and the Republicans will have a slight majority in both houses of Congress.

There`s not a whole lot of disgust when you win by a 1.6% margin.
Electing a career criminal with multiple felony convictions makes you proud, but the whole world knows what an aye-hole country this has become. Whatever the case, you`ve got the Taliban in your corner.

Back to returning America to normal, Mike Johnson was re-elected Speaker of the House yesterday. And here is his message for all of us:

"The American people have demanded an end to the status quo, and a return to fiscal sanity. That’s why the citizens of our great country gave President Trump the White House and Republican control of both chambers of Congress. If we don’t follow through on our campaign promise for fiscal responsibility, we don’t deserve to hold power.

The national debt is a grave threat to America’s economic and national security – and no issue exemplifies the Congress’ failures more. Republicans have a real opportunity in the next two years to make meaningful spending reforms to eliminate trillions in waste, fraud, and abuse, and end the weaponization of government. Along with advancing President Trump’s America First agenda, I will lead the House Republicans to reduce the size and scope of the federal government, hold the bureaucracy accountable, and move the United States to a more sustainable fiscal trajectory.

As Speaker, I commit to:
1. Create a working group comprised of independent experts – not corrupted by lobbyists and special interests – to work with DOGE and our committees on implementing recommended government and spending reforms to protect the American taxpayer.

2. Task that working group with reviewing existing audits of federal agencies and entities created by Congress – and issuing a report to my office for public release.
