Obozo made a rather dubious claim of executive privilege (something Trump didn't do) to keep the information on his gun running operation from the public. Both those goofs were guilty as sin in the death of an American border patrol agent. Bush had the cooperation of the Mexican government (Obozo never informed Mexico of what he and Holder were doing). Bush stopped when it was determined the guns could not accurately be traced.

But the reality is that neither president actually had anything to do with either obvious, and none of the firearms allowed to be straw purchased were ever tied to any death of any US border patrol.
