President Joseph Biden's State of the Union Address will probably be a terrible address and it could very easily be a great address that would make the overall mood of the nation one of optimism and really feeling good about the country. President Biden's address will be extremely lousy because it will support and promote this Joe Biden and the Left policy that America will stop carbon pollution in America by reducing supply of carbon fuels in America. This is exactly counter to what would be the good and right policy on this issue which would be the policy that American will stop carbon pollution in America by responsibly reducing demand of carbon fuels in America. This is the right policy because when the government reduces supply of carbon fuels it just raises the price of carbon fuels and since ordinary Americans cannot do much about their demand for carbon fuels this just causes significant pain on American families due to the increase in their utility and fuel costs. The media is replete with American families paying higher natural gas, electricity and fuel bills because the low supply of the respective fuels has risen the costs of those fuels and the administration in Washington is obstructing and not helping domestic production.
To many responsible Americans it is just mind boggling the Biden Administration's obstruction of domestic energy production. The administration's task is simple in part it has to increase the leasing of public land for energy drilling. So what has the Biden administration done? The Wall Street Journal in an article on January 25 2022 described precisely it, "the Biden administration's attempt to adopt a sevenfold increase in a metric called the social cost of carbon, which assigns a dollar value to the harm caused by greenhouse-gas emissions. The metric is used in guiding a variety of government decisions, including the sale of energy leases on federal lands. The Biden administration moved last year to tentatively raise the value to $51 per metric ton, up from $7 per metric ton under the Trump administration.". This specific policy is trying to cut carbon emissions in America by trying to cut carbon fuel supply, it is stupid, irresponsible, indefensible and is going to cause enormous financial pain on Americans with increased energy expenses. Joe Biden ran as center-left politician, he was explicit in describing himself this way, when his campaign was faltering in Pennsylvania because he was being labeled as anti-natural gas which is an important part of the state's economy, Joe Biden swore these were false allegations. All lies by Joe if one looks at his track record as President during the past thirteen months! Tomorrow provides an opportunity for Joseph Biden to get a fresh start and be the President he campaigned he would be; this would require Joseph Biden to find great character within himself, Joe if you cannot do this for yourself do this for your 350 million fellow Americans which you here to fore have failed as President!
