The pardons will happen.
So it has been admitted that Biden is discussing preemptive pardons. The only such pardon I know of in American history was for former President Nixon, and that was a unique reason for doing so.
Any such pardons are an admission that these people were involved in lawfare, such as Jack Smith, and lies, such as Liz Cheney.
More disdain for America should Biden act on such preemptive pardons, and such pardons would e of questionable impact and would end up in the Supreme Court.
Exactly. It makes zero sense, and it's highly unlikely it's legal. No precedent I can find.In fact it appears that accepting one is an admission of guilt.
not the same as what this current presidebt is doing.Actually, the precedent is already there, of Ford pardoning Nixon.
You could also add the precedent of Bush Sr. Pardoning Cap Weinberger, which is more on point, as Cap didn't commit any crimes related to Iran-Contra. In fact, he was the one guy in the room saying it was a terrible idea.
not the same as what this current presidebt is doing.
Other than pardoning Hunter, he hasn't done anything yet.
Here..read about those 37 commutations..
Do you have the guts or the conscience??
Joe Bribem freed all the pedo murderers who were convicted by juries and judges and sentenced to death FROM death Row. That's all, just that. no biggie heh? got kids? thought not.I've read them.
Um. So what?
We shouldn't be executing anyone in this country. Most of the world has abolished the Death Penalty for a good reason. We are in a club that includes Red China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
Not sure that's a club I want to join.
