Then we had the Reformation of Martin Luther that put the Bible into the hands of all people in Europe and they learned that the pagan catholic religion had been playing them for chumps thus the "Inquisition of the heretics" via the Council of Trent and their utilization of the jesuits that permeate our own government even unto this day.
