What this basically says is that Trump/president can declassify his documents fairly easily, but for the other agencies to declassify the same docs a formal protocol needs to be followed, otherwise the agencies' copies are handled as still "classified":.

What it says is that the president can make a or any declassification decision, with the exception national defense documents but he still has to notify the agencies involved with the classification, so that every one can be on the same page with proper classification standings.

I find it very difficult that you actually believe the president of the united states could or even would, haphazardly wave a magic declassification wand and declassify 300 plus classified documents including top secrets all at once, for our adversaries to get, without consultation with any agency, without consultation on the life threatening dangers there are revealing one of our sources or agents, with no concern of any national defense ramifications, and no concern of any foreign relations ramifications.... I can't believe you've spent an ounce of thought on what you are arguing for....

He's going to be indicted for obstruction of justice, we've known that for months and months....because....drum roll...he's been obstructing justice right before our eyes and ears....

And he might be indicted for revealing top secrets, in the espionage act.... That isn't a guarantee, we just know it is being investigated.

That would involve an appeal, getting to the Supreme court...on whether a president can declassify, but has to follow the rules and procedures in place. Trump is the only president in our history, that has claimed the magic wand approach of hundreds of Classified and top secret documents at once, sight unseen, can be declassified without any notification to any of our intelligence agencies including military.

The appeal would take too long.....

Of course they do, that is NOT the issue.

The issue is whether they can do it, without ordering it to be done, in writing, one by one, to notify the appropriate agencies that would need to declassify them... which would take a presidential ORDER.

There are no orders from trump, declassifying any of the documents and no correspondence and notification to any of the agencies responsible for executing the order of declassification of any classified document by Trump taken and brought to Mara Lago.
