Everybody would pay for reparations but only blacks who can prove slave ancestors in the US would receive them. Obama and Kamala would not be recipients for example, but could Obama's daughter get a half share.

Better yet just forget reparations, its a stupid idea, but if it goes through, these 5 conditions:

1. Everyone pays into reparations as a function of their earned income.
2. Families with provable past slave-ownership pay more.
3. Reparations go to black families with provable past slave ownership AND to all American Indians.
4. No one working for the federal government is eligible.
5. No one making or having a net worth of over $100,000 is eligible.

And this is all the proof anyone needs that all you want to do is whine.

Even if you were to receive reparations, you would have no intention of not whining about it.

So, why should we be bothered giving them to you?

This is a case against the government. You will have paid taxes. There will be no special tax for reparations to blacks. Since none of you will be members of congress, you have no say.

Fair enough.

Since you were never a slave, you have no say, and no claim.

There's a message going up in this forum tonight to the effect that we want EFFORT in creating discussions for Zone1 forums. Nothing wrong with discussing reparations. Make a case FOR or AGAINST and back that up with DETAILS of the plan. Dont leave it to vivid imaginations what the PLAN is -- so that folks can suggest mass deportations or property confiscation or the other baiting ideas that popped up here. That's just a brawl -- not civil discussion. And - Dont leave it to the imagination WHERE YOU stand on it and BACK THAT UP.

If you quote or assert FACT in a title/Opost you need references or links. But we're gonna expect a little more work and respect for these topics to START and MAINTAIN civil discussion.
