They had 4 shootings during the protest and THAT is why the mayor ended it not to mention the lawsuit from those that live in the area and were tired of being prevented free access to their own damn property.

The mayor wisely did not order the police into the area when there were thousands of bystanders and protesters. In the area, many were carrying guns. After the first shooting she told the leaders that Chop must end and she announced that CHOP would be cleared but she did not specify a date. Shortly before the police entered the area she again told the protesters they must leave because Chop was ending, and many more left As a result many protesters packed and left. The police entered the area and there was no shootings and no serious injuries which was her goal.

So you're saying that your idea of "wisdom" is to only enforce laws when the criminals are going to be agreeable about being arrested? If they're too dangerous and violent and scary, we just let them do whatever they want because they might get mad otherwise?

No, the mayor didn't end it because of any shootings or lawsuits. She ended it because the mob came for her and damaged HER property. Suddenly, it was very serious and unacceptable behavior.

No, the decision to remove Chop was made before the protesters came to her house. The death of two boys convinced the City Counsel as well most of the city residents, that Chop needed to end. That's when the mayor said Chop had to go. If Chop had remained peaceful; that is no killings are serious injuries, the City might have left it stand for months. However, as the homeless started setting up and gang members started hanging out there, it was only a question of time till someone got killed.
