I voted yes because everyone else did. I liked Ike when I was too young to know anything, plus he was a great president that was born not to far from where I'm sitting. My patriotism has waned over the decades, but slight patriotism is still a yes vote.
My family, me included were loyal Democrats. We hated Ike. Mom said to us all the time, he was a good General, not a good president.

Looking back on it, she was wrong. He was an average General and a very good president. Patton was the star General and he was very wealthy.

Is America a big gay country? Is USA more gay than France and Germany?

Gays likes men.
Sounds like somebody wants to "experiment"

I am certainly not proud of my government.
I was not proud of the Carter government, the Clinton government, the Obama government or the Biden Government. The best ever government this nation has had was when Ronald Reagan was president. Trump loves to hear his own voice and brags far too much. His tasks are mighty and so far on his tasks, he does a splendid job.

Christie and Marc: please read and think.

1) Selfish Pride — the “I’m better than everyone else” kind

This is the pride the Bible consistently warns against: superiority, arrogance, self‑exaltation.
  • Proverbs 16:18 — “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
  • Proverbs 8:13 — “Pride and arrogance… I hate.”
  • James 4:6 — “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
  • Luke 18:9–14 (Pharisee & tax collector) — Jesus condemns the man who boasts about being better than others.
  • 1 Corinthians 4:7 — “What do you have that you did not receive? Why do you boast…?”
Theme: Pride that elevates self over others is spiritually corrosive.

2) Healthy, Unselfish Pride — the kind that lifts you and others

Scripture does affirm a kind of pride rooted in gratitude, accomplishment, and encouragement — not superiority.

  • 2 Corinthians 7:4 — “I have great pride in you…” (Paul expressing joy and confidence in others)
  • Galatians 6:4 — “Each one should take pride in their own work…” (personal satisfaction without comparison)
  • Philippians 4:8 — Encourages thinking on things that are excellent and praiseworthy
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:19–20 — Paul calls the believers his “glory and joy”
  • Matthew 5:16 — “Let your light shine…” (a kind of righteous pride that inspires others)
Theme: Pride that celebrates goodness, effort, and the success of others is not condemned — it’s encouraged.

3) The Dangerous Pride We Already Know About — the self‑reliant, God‑ignoring kind

This is the pride that blinds, isolates, and leads people to reject correction.

  • Proverbs 11:2 — “When pride comes, then comes disgrace…”
  • Obadiah 1:3 — “The pride of your heart has deceived you.”
  • 1 John 2:16 — “The pride of life… is not from the Father.”
  • Daniel 4:30–37 — Nebuchadnezzar’s pride leads to his downfall until he acknowledges God
  • Hosea 13:6 — “Their heart was lifted up; therefore they forgot Me.”
Theme: This pride isn’t about arrogance toward others — it’s about forgetting God, becoming self‑sufficient, and losing spiritual awareness.

Trump loves to hear his own voice and brags far too much. His tasks are mighty and so far on his tasks, he does a splendid job.
So you think. I think he is probably as corrupt a President as we have ever had.
