Proper regulations and taxation, not over regulation or little or no regulations, allows capitalism to work properly for everyone. With those proper regulations and taxation we became a superpower.

I know that because of trump's tax cut Bezos was able to join the list of companies that didn't pay federal income taxes.

Amazon does pay state taxes. Washington doesn't have an income tax. We do have a B&O tax. That tax is on revenues. Not profits.

Which means they can't deduct anything. They pay taxes on every penny they receive. Whether they make a profit or not. Since it's on revenues not profits, they can't pass the tax onto customers. The higher their revenue, the higher percentage they pay in taxes. It helps keep the greed in check and prevents the business from passing that tax off on the customers.

That is what it comes down to. Greed.

Ambition is good. Ambition creates what America used to be.

Greed is bad. Greed creates the mess we are enduring now and endured in the past before the mid 20th century.

Taxation and proper regulations prevent the mess that greed causes.

We have an example from what we now call The Greatest Generation. They did it right. They created a superpower.

Why not follow that example?
