After reading about her drinking habits, and her violent mood swings, I can't help thinking she might be an alcoholic.

I'd say it's drugs. I knew a guy who was a drunk and he used to suck on candy drops continuously to disguise the smell of booze on his breath. My guess is that Hillary drinks to disguise her drug habit.
