How does that equate them to “terrorists”?
What would you call them? They killed 107K Americans last year.

In 2023, over 107,000 people died from drug overdoses in the United States, with nearly 70% of those deaths attributed to opioids like fentanyl. This marked a significant public health crisis, as overdose deaths have remained high in recent years.

You're asking all of the WRONG questions here Loopy.

Where is the evidence that the people being killed are drug runners?

Why not arrest them and seize the drugs as evidence?

Why simply blow people out of the water without a trial, evidence or a conviction?
The drugs visible filling up the boat is a pretty good clue they are running drugs. Did you think they are exporting barrels of water or milk?

You have to catch them first, and that is not easy to do. When they refuse to stop, you blow them out of the water.

If you blow up the boat and kill them, you don't need evidence.

What's stopping Canada from doing just that? If you don't like how we do things do it yourself.

Is it your contention, drug smuggling and the proceeds there from don't fund geo-political initiatives of terrorist groups?
No, it's my contention that not all drug smuggling fund geo-politcal iniatives of terrorist groups. I further contend most is not. And that therefore before you can designate someone a terrorist group because of drug smuggling that link needs to be established.

It's like saying some people use gyms to sell steroids, so everyone doing leg day is a drug mule.

Much is being made of US policy to kill narco terrorists in international waters. Do you agree with this policy?
No. Drug smuggling isn’t a capital offense. And if you can put a missile on a boat in open water, you can board it and seize it just as easily.

Bring them to justice? Absolutely.
Execute them? No.

This policy is a mistake on every level:

• Geopolitically: It erodes trust in the U.S. because no evidence is ever presented.
• Legally: It violates clear principles of international law.
• Constitutionally: The executive never sought authorization, so it’s happening without oversight.
• Morally: It kills people without trial when non-lethal alternatives exist. Americans would reject that in any domestic context.

It’s the wrong tool, used the wrong way, for the wrong reasons.

I presume it is our policy to kill the terrorists. Otherwise, it is a very expensive and unnecessary way to sink a speedboat.
You're making a presumption based on a very elastic definition of “terrorist”, one that seems to be whatever the executive branch declares at the moment.

It also assumes the only way to deal with “terrorists” is to kill them. That logic makes sense for people who are actively trying to die. It makes far less sense for people whose actual behavior looks like… drug runners in a fast boat.

And if we're truly convinced they’re smuggling drugs, the best way to prove that is to capture them, not sink them. Evidence doesn’t come from craters.

So the problem is simple: the presumption you’re leaning on may just be wrong.

The President is the only one who can create a terrorist.

The cartels chop off peoples' heads and leave the severed remains in front of City Hall. They're terrorists.

Dominica recovered 300 bales of cocaine from the boat we trashed.

So the problem is simple: the presumption you’re leaning on may just be wrong.

If you're working for a terrorist, you're a terrorist.

Um...were you in a coma? Serious question.

The Sacklers deliberately created the fentanyl epidemic. How in God's name do you not know this?!?

And all Trump gave them was a fine.
Did you steal that conspiracy theory from the hags on The View?

They are supported by a government and the proceeds of the drug sales go to terrorists All over the world. They are also used to destabilize south and central America and advance communism.
Venezuela has banned usury , pornography, and abortion. Not sure if that’s communism?
