He wasn't on both sides of every argument. When he said masks were not needed, they weren't needed because it wasn't much of a threat to the U.S. at the time he said that. That changed, along with the need for masks. He also never inimated masks are for others, not him. There is a photo of him wearing a mask he had pulled down but that is just a fraction of a second of him at a baseball game where there was no one around him except his wife and a friend and a snapshot doesn't reveal for how long he pulled it down.
