Politico poll shows many western nations turning to China, more, as a result of Trump's presidency

Other countries are feeling the US is not treating them fair. Of course the majority of trade will not go away but some will. As they have more trade with China, they will have more political ties.
They would prefer the US but they are looking for trading partners they can depend on.

If they can't export goods to the US, China isn't going to take their exports.
Not true. China will have demand for their biggest exports. They are already trading with China.
  • Natural Resources: Lumber, wood products, aluminum, and potash are significant.
  • Mineral Fuels & Oils: Includes crude oil, bitumen, and refined petroleum products, making up the largest share (roughly 22-25% of total exports).
  • Vehicles & Parts: Cars and automotive parts are a massive component of Canadian trade.
  • Precious Metals & Stones:
Gold is a major export, especially from Ontario.
    • Machinery & Equipment: Including industrial machinery and nuclear reactors.

Nope. He doesn't want trading partners to be unfair. See the difference?

We consume close to three times to volume of goods as does China. I'll ask again, how do you spurn the biggest consumer country in the world and try make up that volume by selling to China?
The US is a substantially larger market, overall, but China is catching up and even exceeding is some areas.

You don't know what you are talking about. AI is many things. For the question of what are Canada's biggest exports it aggregated a huge amount of data bases; factual, not opinion. I could lie or make stuff up like you, but I thought I would provide FACTs not opinions..

That is not you.

They were sending those exports to the US and now they'll send them to China?

Trump surrendered the growing global clean energy technology market, and China is not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, not in the Year of the Horse.
China is eating our lunch in both clean energy and tech in general. Trump's war is affecting them far less than other countries, because they've built up so much clean energy infrastructure.

So while the Americans are wallowing around in the oil like Neanderthals, the world is now turning towards a more serious, stable, credible. trustworthy, forward-looking country.

Imagine that. China more serious, stable, credible, trustworthy and forward-looking than America. What a goddamn disgrace. This juvenile, ignorant caveman cult is killing us.

Some. China has already been buying most of these goods. The US has been buying much more. But Trump wants the US to manufacture many of the products. USA buys at home, Canada has to sell those products someplace else.

China is doomed. Their finances make ours look good. Their demographics make ours look good. Their politics make ours look good.

Our former friends will deal us when and where they absolutely have to. Like dealing with a Mafia family.

Otherwise they are forming new relationships with more stable, mature, credible countries, even if and when the finances are not optimal. It's worth it to get away from Trump.

They're doing the right thing. We can't be trusted. We can change the rules at any moment and screw you over. Like dealing with a Mafia family.

If they really feel that they are more comfortable dealing with CHINA, I wish them luck.

Let me know how that works out for them.

One might be tempted to call us a "laughingstock", but unfortunately no one is laughing, because this isn't funny.

One profoundly damaged man-child has been ALLOWED, by craven sycophants, to completely disrupt and destabilize the entire world, and the world is turning against us and towards China.

This is on Trump's "Cabinet" and congressional Republicans.

We're losing them all because of trump being such an asshole. Years and years of relationships and well-being all being thrown away.

Trump should give the queen of England an IPOD loaded with his favorite music.

China must be wallowing in a glut of Schadenfreude.
