It will surprise most who watch the video when this cop is found to be justified in his action -- which is that of using necessary force to defend himself and to effect the arrest of a disorderly person who is forcefully resisting him. It should go without saying that the cop's actions need to be viewed in context before judging him. It is quite possible that his reaction was "excessive" but justified due to provocation.

Also, I heard the interview with the jack off who took the video. He was quite obviously biased and had an agenda. He did not see the entire incident, just the beating, but he has reached the legal conclusion that the cop is guilty of a crime. What a shut head.

You leftist scumfucks need to wait until all of the evidence is revealed and context is established before you start cumming in each other's face over having a video example of police brutality to reaffirm your misguided perception of police. And that I thought it very possible that you must have heard an edited version of the young man's interview. In the print at the DM link I put up in my other post you can read that for certain he witnessed the incident from beginning to the last punch.

It's acceptable to beat the shit out of a woman?

There are many ways to respond to that question.

Under ordinary circumstances, of course it isn't acceptable. But as the police representative will say, these circumstances were hardly ordinary.

In accordance with prescribed police procedure this cop was perfectly justified in what he did. I'm not saying I approve but I am advising the naive this is what they can expect if they ever have occasion to resist arrest.

One could say a cop that size should be able to restrain an older woman in a more passive manner. There are many passive restraining holds which could have been applied to subdue that woman. But these are wrestling holds which require considerable practice to be effectively administered and there is no requirement that a police officer be adequately trained in those skills.

So the cop's position will be he did his job according to procedure. The same procedure which enables cops all over America to routinely slam passive subjects face down and grind their faces into the pavement with a knee, and to kick down doors at 3AM on suspicion of minor drug possession or sale, and to toss flash/bang grenades -- which sometimes land in babies' cribs and disfigure them.

What we've seen in this video is just one eyebrow-raising example of officially prescribed and sanctioned police "procedure." There are many, many more.
