Sadly, too many Americans likely would stand by and watch their beloved Gestapo brutally assault a family member. That's how much they fear & worship their Gestapo. Most Americans are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. They sympathize with their captors.

If a member of my family is being attacked, I will not be of any help if I get myself shot dead trying to assist!

Just making the point that most Americans are now so enamored with their Gestapo, they would likely stand by and watch as they pummeled their Mother or Grandmother. After all, Big Brother's Gestapo can never be wrong. It's very sad. It is Stockholm Syndrome-like behavior. They sympathize with and even worship their oppressors.
