PLO Urges Hamas To Sever Ties With Muslim Brotherhood

P F Tinmore, et al,

Good Question! Is it not the magic and wonder in the chaos that describes Palestinian leadership and their ability of the people to manage their government.

OK, but how is Fatah leading the PA when they lost the elections to Hamas?

The General Election is one thing; different from the PLO and the Executive Committee (EC).

HAMAS won the general election, however FATAH held the majority in the PLO. The EC determines who speaks for the Palestinian.

The PLO has no place in the government. They are separate entities. If Abbas was president (he is going on 11 years of a 4 year term) he would have the authority to swear in a new government after they were approved by parliament. My money says they were not. That government is illegal.

Taking into consideration that the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, in accordance with a decision by the Palestine National Council, is entrusted with the powers and responsibilities of the Provisional Government of the State of Palestine,

Bearing in mind the mutual recognition of 9 September 1993 between the Government of the State of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, the representative of the Palestinian people,

2. Decides to accord to Palestine non-member observer State status in the United Nations, without prejudice to the acquired rights, privileges and role of the Palestine Liberation Organization in the United Nations as the representative of the Palestinian people, in accordance with the relevant resolutions and practice;

Who is in-charge of the State of Palestine, if not the PLO? Certainly there would be not State of Palestine if it had not been for the PLO.

But as I've said before, one of the problems (certainly not the only problem) that has shadowed to Peace Process is the fact that the Palestinian People still don't have a handle on their government or its processes.

You really should stop opening your mouth, as you constantly put both feet in it. The plo was the forerunner of fatah so has a place in government. You forget that it is not America so your rules don't apply, the muslims make their own rules

The PLO was appointed to be the representatives of the Palestinian people and the world still views it as such. The PLO is considered to be the "state" of Palestine at the UN.

However, the Palestinians have created a government separate from the PLO. The chairman of the PLO can be the president if he is elected to that position. But if you look at the constitution that defines the government there is no place for the PLO.

Abbas, the elected president of the government, (also the chairmen of the PLO) left his post in that government in June of 2007. He quit, he just walked away. He then formed a separate government in the West Bank ignoring any of the constitutional procedures required. His government has no elective or constitutional legitimacy.

Of course the criminal class of the world likes the illegal government better than the elected one so they get all the money, weapons, and political cover.

It is yet again another case of illegal external interference that Palestinine has suffered under since its inception.

Not true. The PLO is a group of political parties that include Fatah, PFLP, etc..

The government has elected representatives from those and other political parties.

Now make your mind up Abdul, either the PLO has a place in government or it doesn't. You cant change your view on a whim. As I said earlier it is the Palestinians house so they make the rules, and if they want to elect a new president then they will. If they want to take over the government who are you to stop them. Just look at how the extremist elements like fatah and hamas are acting in other Islamic nations, and how many muslims are being murdered and mutilated by all sides. It is Islamic culture to act like a 7C uneducated barbarian, because at the end of the day that is all they are. They just cant help themselves when it comes to killing children and both sides have done it, then they started on the fathers which left a vacuum in the P.A that needed filling to keep the wheels turning. The only illegal external interference is coming from iran and Saudi who support different factions and creeds, so it is now an internal Islamic problem of suuni versus sh'ia.

WRONG as the PLO run by Arafat as was fatah, and contained fatah as its largest member

Fatah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Islamic governments make the rules up as they go along, so if they want a new president the assassinate the old one. So if fatah/plo don't like hamas taking over they murder the hamas elected politicians and put their own people in place. Just look at the arab spring that has resulted in over one million deaths in the last 2 years, and not a Jooooo in sight.

Big picture is the Saudis want control of the M.E and they don't care how many innocents have to die for them to get it. Then iran wants the same thing and they have said that 1 billion muslim deaths is a fair price to pay for the destruction of Israel.

Nope it was a Saudi project involving many outside influences that included the US and UN. It is part of the big picture that is spelled out in the Koran, and Saudi is setting the battle lines were it wants them. The prize is world domination and the genocide of all non muslims.

The link does as it spells out that the PLO and fatah are the same thing, so the PLO has as much right as fatah to represent the people of Palestine. And we all know what their views are on that

Google end times and see what the Koran says, and then look at what the REAL muslims are doing.
If they did not have any oil they would still be cooking rat over camel dung fires.

Did you understand the video, and how it said that the US along with other nations refused to deal with hamas. Kinda destroys your claim that it was a US led coup.
