You guys probably don't have this franchise, it's Canadian. Not very good pizza to be honest, but it's reasonably priced if you go for a single topping and add your own.

Anyways, this is how our police get around pesky issues like warrants, courts, our Charter of Rights, Privacy Laws etc. The issue isn't the guilt or the crimes, it's the process. Processes that run counter to Western and American Values as Canada promotes "Canadian Values" which don't exist. Our apparatus is judge, jury and executioner, and it's only being exposed now.

Generally the cops plant creepy people in these companies directly. Low performing daughters and sons of cops, who they call "partners" who wouldn't have a job otherwise as they are not bright, nor of high character. It's a reminder why our economy is so weak and our best talent leave, mainly to America, they choose liberty over nepotism. Police states that emulate East Germany while pretending to be like America don't have the brightest future in the global economy.

When Canada and the U.K remained silent for so long as China expanded and then just basically took back HK via a security law, you know our powers are dwindling. Hey, at least we have the Stasi to be proud of though! They are great for the economy...their own!

It's a hard thing to buck the establishment when they have the deck stacked in their favor. That's why I like Trump. He seems to be the only person in this country who has the balls to do what needs to be done. He's fighting the MSM, the education cartel, Hollywood and the global corporations who want to continue to exploit the American worker and taxpayer. And he's doing it for the average American. Trump is the only choice if you want a fair shot at safety and prosperity. You can see the poverty and chaos the Dems. are causing right now. You know that will get exponentially worse if we elect Biden. Biden is the one who could make Orwell's 1984 a reality.

No sorry, I have a work around for this as I don't have a subscription either. Here are the first few paragraphs of the article:

Call Pizza Pizza and — hey, hey, hey, as the old jingle went — you might just end up with your name and address in police records.

Amid a major criminal investigation that announced dozens of arrests last year, the popular pizza chain voluntarily searched its internal data and handed over customers’ personal information to Toronto police investigators, the Star has learned.

Officers used the technique in Project Kraken, an investigation into guns, gangs and drugs that resulted in more than 70 arrests last June. Seven of those charged were tow truck operators, police said at the time. The accused are awaiting trial.

During the investigation, Toronto police obtained telephone numbers from phone intercepts. Officers then took those numbers to Pizza Pizza to get any matching customers’ names.
None of the accused were identified using the technique. Rather, it was used to identify people associated with targets of the investigation. It is not clear how many people were identified.
Two sources connected to the case told the Star police used the technique. The Star is not identifying the sources because they can’t publicly speak about material that is part of disclosure.

“Pizza Pizza is providing contactless delivery of pizzas and warrantless delivery of your private information,” Michael Bryant, executive director and general counsel of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, said in an interview after the Star shared details of the technique.
“I think it’s not reasonable to think that people who provide their phone number and address to Pizza Pizza for the purposes of getting a pizza expect that, or consent to, that information being shared with others, let alone the police,” Bryant said.

The Star posed a number of questions to Toronto police about the technique, including how often it is used and if other businesses have voluntarily given police similar information.
Police did not answer any of the Star’s questions. In an email, a police spokesperson said the service “will not be commenting on this story.”

In the US people are certainly allowed to voluntarily cooperate with the police. Warrants aren't necessary. Warrant for what, exactly?

In the US people are certainly allowed to voluntarily cooperate with the police. Warrants aren't necessary. Warrant for what, exactly?

Warrant for someones personal information being shared with a government agency, especially one that is largely unaccountable and interfering in the lives of citizens at a scale unmatched since East Germany.

Someone buying a pizza didn't consent to having their information shared by some low performing, self serving rat at the company to some other low performer who can't even make a strong enough argument to present to a judge. Creepy covert police agencies aren't God, as much as some in Canada believe they are.

Now Pizza Pizza is going to get hit with a lawsuit, hopefully the inside rat will be named, and, they are going to lose business from the few libertarians in this country that are left.

A warrant is only necessary when there is a refusal to cooperate. The pizza place has no liability. It's like any other business.

The charges against some of these guys are now going to be altered or dropped. The accused, even if guilty; will then sue Pizza Pizza for sharing information which they didn't agree to, the name of the creepy person working there will be in the courts. Or, more than likely, they will get a nice settlement from the company (no more crime needed now I suppose).

Pizza Pizza will lose business. Their name has now been dragged through the mud, they even now have Reddit posting of this and it has been discussed in Canada. All of this, because of the covert police in this country that spits on civil liberties until it is them or their stupid kid who is the target.

it's why I encourage CSIS to target these police forces, leak information and expose their abuses. This is the end result when citizens are treated like cattle and those who fought and died against these nations in far away lands, now have their memory spit on as police HERE do what was occurring THERE.

What did Pizza Pizza gain? Maybe you or others believe that citizens privacy and rights don't matter, "in the name of law and order", but I know how much they abuse this situation. I recall an undercover NYPD officer on a bike who was caught doing something on the highway and was outed. I believe someone lost their life because of him, and he has since been fired.

What society wants this in their community?
