The world needs a neutral place where nations can gather and talk-out their differences.

The UN is that place.

It has very little muscle of its own unless its members band-together short-term for a particular purpose.

And it is oftentimes ineffective, and sometimes it seems to be downright anti-American.

But that's just because we don't control the narrative and cannot stifle the opinions and actions of those who do not like us.

Still... even though it could stand some serious tweaking... as a Global Meeting-Ground, it works well enough to hang onto it.

And it adds to American prestige that we serve as the host-nation for its headquarters.

Prestige that has become badly damaged under the stewardship of the Orange Baboon-God.

I wouldn't mind us forcing other members to cough-up their share of maintenance, etc., but I'm content that we remain a member, and host the headquarters.

from heaven and KICKING it into the east river---BUT a housing project a la DIBLASIO would be even better. Like the rest of the giant housing
