Georgetown, when they were doormats and before John Thompson turned them into an HBC basketball team, had one good year in 1970 and took Maravich and LSU to the wire in the opening round of the NIT.
 
It’s not only that, but they were not running an offense built around the three point shot.
If he was in a modern offense built around setting up Pete for a three he would score 80

press maravich was a big believer in the "transition game." , and pete could sure dribble with anyone.
