Pete Hegseth Says Air Force Restoring Tuskegee Airmen Videos Amid Backlash

We have a new term for this, "malicous compliance"

Was it malicious to remind Hegseth and Trump that the Tuskegee Airmen were an early implementation of DEI.

Hegseths guidance seems to be……..Eliminate DEI in a way that doesn’t embarrass me

The Air Force says it has reinstated training material on the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) after a brief delay to revise it in line with the Trump administration's rollback of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.

I wonder why you need to restore something that folks claimed was not needed.

Because a Black man excluded from flying combat by the color of his skin or a woman excluded from flying combat aircraft because of her sex are wrongs that have been rightly corrected.

A man pretending to be a woman for attention is not a wrong that needs to be corrected.

It does nothing to enhance warfighting, which is a warrior’s job.

Can USMB conservatives explain how todays military can survive without DEI?

Our military is comprised of women, blacks, Hispanics, gays, Muslims
You don’t think they need policies to ensure all are treated fairly?

I remember before 9-11, the militaries policy against gays, prevented hiring a lot of arabic interpreters. Which lead to a backlog of ftranslating the intercepts about Osama Bin Laden.

No they were an attempt at de-segregation, not DEI as we see it today.

DEI is all about blame and getting advantage over who is blamed. It's the same bullshit as treating equity as equality.

Neither Trump or Hegseth ordered this to happen, it was done by some SJW twat officer trying to be slick, and they got caught.

Because the military has a long, long history of favoring white male Christians and excluding gays
well it’s 2025, it’s sad you need a policies to treat people fairly. Not everyone else does

I don't think these people understand that military training is more than just earning how to kill.

Tuskegee Airmen is a sacred cow
Common sense says don’t touch it

But in MAGA America…….Common sense has gone out the window
They're obviously listening to the people.

Unit cohesiveness is essential to combat readiness

Ignoring the diversity of todays military does not make a stronger fighting force

Let's put the cards on the table. Blacks said they want to be in WW2. But FDR said hell no. It was his wife that gets credit for the Tuskegee Airmen. And blacks were still held back until WW2 was virtually over. And they only had 4 officers in the Army Aircorps at the time. FDR did not like blacks.

maybe you didn't notice, but the Tuskegee airmen were a segregated squadron.

Like the buffalo soldiers, the first step on the DEI road.

Because some people, left to their own devices won't do the right thing.

FDR did not like Blacks. Sure you do not want the story told of why Blacks were seriously discriminated against by Democrats.

47 officers

Since there were no Black officers, eleven white officers were assigned to train and prepare a total of 429 enlisted men and 47 officers who would become the Tuskegee Airmen, the first Black military personnel in the flying school.

Well that’s incorrect. They were segregate there was nothing equal about them
Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Where did I say they weren't segregated or were treated equally? What I did say is that were skilled and effective pilots who met high standards (unlike many DEI hires in the past few years). Their performance helped push the integration of our armed forces shortly after WW2. Why do you want to paint them as victims instead of heroes who served our country?

DEI evolved from EEO and Affirmative Action

It is hard to abolish DEI without cutting out Equal Employment
Military have been receiving diversity training for decades, now it is under attack as….this may be DEI
The military does not select personnel based on diversity and never should.
