Much of the money needed for soldiers disabled from war to survive everyday life comes from private donations. I do not condemn the ADA. I tell you the costs are massive. Real massive and we do not talk about it. You go to the each and the wooden steps are augmented up to a few hundred feet walkway from street level. That costs money. Something simple. And in areas there are huge wheeled wheelchairs for people to use on beaches. Motels, hotels have all of that ADA. Ten/fifteen percent of the cost of renting a room for the night is for that. People pay a lot. The generations of youth have a harder trip to survive and then that means governments has to provide more for them.

Those ADA costs were absorbed over a 10-20 year period and are lasting improvements.
