Pete Hegseth Delivers His First Message to the Military as the New U.S. Secretary of Defense

Under Xiden and his DOD, it's been recruitment....believe it or not, people just don't want to volunteer when the Demklan is running the show. I know that's hard for you to grasp.

The Military Recruiting Outlook Is Grim Indeed. Loss of Public Confidence, Political Attacks and the Economy Are All Taking a Toll.

Will they want to volunteer more or less now when Trump is talking about invading Greenland or attacking Mexico?

I guess buzzwords is how Magats navigates a complex political world, since they love them so much lol. In that sense, Trump is the perfect president for you folks.

You can argue that Lloyd Austin should have been dismissed for not notifying the white house of his surgery. Who knows, maybe a president out there would have done just that, but what you can't dismiss is his record as a 4 star general. The secretary of defense controls the entire military and prepares them for every eventuality. You don't give this job to just anyone, and you certainly don't give it to a tv show host who has a drinking problem, but then still continues to drink! Even someone like you realizes this since you're avoiding talking about it.
Austin didn't tell ANYONE he was going AWOL. That's retarded.

Haha well recruitment has gone up since he won

And he isn’t talking about those things so…

When asked if he would send special forces into Mexico to deal with the cartels he confirmed it as a possibility. When asked about Greenland he refused to rule out military force in order to obtain it. Trump probably isn't serious about the latter, but that's not the question here. The question is, is this type of rhetoric conducive for recruitment? As a recruit would you be more or less likely to join in order to fight our allies and risk your life for nothing but land?

Pete Hegseth Delivers His First Message to the Military as the New U.S. Secretary of Defense

25 Jan 2025 ~~ By Jim Hoft

Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News personality and decorated Army veteran, was sworn in as the 29th U.S. Secretary of Defense on Saturday, following a narrow and contentious Senate confirmation.
The Senate vote concluded in a 50-50 tie, broken by Vice President JD Vance. Notably, three RINOs senators—Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and Mitch McConnell—joined all Democrats and independents in opposing Hegseth’s nomination.
Following his confirmation, Hegseth was swiftly sworn in by Vice President Vance in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, with his wife, Jennifer Rauchet, by his side and children.

From the U.S. Department of Defense:

  • It is the privilege of a lifetime to lead the warriors of the Department of Defense, under the leadership of our Commander in Chief Donald J. Trump. We will put America First, and we will never back down.
  • The President gave us a clear mission: achieve Peace through Strength. We will do this in three ways — by restoring the warrior ethos, rebuilding our military, and reestablishing deterrence.
  • We will revive the warrior ethos and restore trust in our military. We are American warriors. We will defend our country. Our standards will be high, uncompromising, and clear. The strength of our military is our unity and our shared purpose.
  • We will rebuild our military by matching threats to capabilities. This means reviving our defense industrial base, reforming our acquisition process, passing a financial audit, and rapidly fielding emerging technologies. We will remain the strongest and most lethal force in the world.
  • We will reestablish deterrence by defending our homeland — on the ground and in the sky. We will work with allies and partners to deter aggression in the Indo-Pacific by Communist China, as well as supporting the President’s priority to end wars responsibly and reorient to key threats. We will stand by our allies — and our enemies are on notice.
  • All of this will be done with a focus on lethality, meritocracy, accountability, standards, and readiness.

Commentary:
Like previous U.S. Military ethos, the aom of the military is to be combat ready without the politics that stains our Congress.
Few remember the stories of staving and under clothed revolutionary warriors because Congress did not supply the Continental Army properly, or flashing back to present day DEI.
A warrior in charge, imagine that!? Ethos of the warfighter has a nice ring to it. Beats the Heck out of freak flags diversity hires and ideologies of politics. There's hope for us yet.
it's not a failure if you take care of your troops. Both Miley and Austin certainly failed with the Afghan abrupt withdrawal and when we lost our 13 warriors (and at least 170 Afghans) at Abbey gate! Both sure kept Raytheon, Lockheed and Boeing happy though.
Will Sec of Def Hegseth send out guidance memo to all branches of our military stating that 100 percent of the force structure must be ready to deploy within 1 month, exceptions for broken limbs and similar injuries and post partum mothers. Transfer staff and administrative personnel to bring combat units up to strength?

Hegseth has a talented MAGA speech writer. So he has that going for him despite never leading an organization larger than a cub scout troop, much less a few million people. And he failed at the one business he created.

I have far more military experience than Hegseth has, and more decorations, and I would not be so hubristic as to think I could be the SecDef.

But have fun with that.

Thank you for continuing to deflect from talking about Hegseth's alcoholism and complete experience to run the biggest army in the world. It means I'm right.
Hegseth is the new sheriff in town. We shall see how he does.

Hah, bullshit.

You are comparing sending special forces to deal with cartels as a full military invasion?

Did Obama invade Pakistan then?

No Trump never claimed he’d use military force to claim Greenland. We have military there already!

You dembots are idiots

Oh look! TV guy knows how to photograph himself with every possible jingoistic bells and whistles. He's squeezed it all in there. His Fox experience has really paid off! He. Is. Working It!

Apparently, TV guy's qualifications for the job are his tattoos. I feel so safe under his macho gaze...

TV guy will now break to commercial for gold-plated coins commemorating his epic photogenic awesomeness.

typo, meant to say, inexperience, not experience

Hegseth is the new sheriff in town. We shall see how he does.

Hegseth was hired for one reason and one reason only, to be Trump's prison bitch. You don't grab a fox news host to be your SOS because you think he's the most qualified for the job. Trump got Hegseth so he can suck his cock every day for the next 4 years and do whatever he says. This country is fucked.

Obama killed one man and his bodyguards. Mexico has an estimated 175,000 cartel members, split between several cartels. Let me guess, it'll be over in 3 days and it'll be called a "special military operation," yes? I'm sure people are just dying to join up now lol

Who's the idiot now?

Oh so it’s not the use of special forces going into another country, it’s the amount of people that might be killed that defines an invasion?

Haha you dembots

So did Obama invade Yemen? Libya? Did xiden invade Somila?
