While I agree that most of it is petty, I also see the problem. You have some out there who abuse the system, and take the benefit and never attempt to work. This makes people feel slighted, because they feel “why do I have to work, when someone else just sits around and gets it for free”.

Instead of going after corporations and the wealth for not paying sufficient wages and benefits to the working class, they point to poor people getting assistance to eat and say…..THEY are the reason you are suffering.

I have worked all my life. My first job that involved paying taxes into the system was when I was a teenager and I am still paying into the system nearly 60 years later.

The welfare clause does NOT entitle the Federal Government to spend funds on people.

The Welfare clause is the general welfare of the Country, not people

Why do we havre a Constit;ution at all if the Federal Government can just do what ever it wants and claim it is in the General Welfare of the country?

Why bother with any kind of controlling language and just let the Feds do whatever the ** they want? Under the General Welfare clause, they can do just that. Whatever the ** they want.

This is true and part of the plan is to keep Democrat voters dependent on government largess. Republicans also hand out money, to large corporations. This can promote domestic employment, but sadly it also promotes employment in other countries.
