Pentagon officials discussing how to respond if Trump issues controversial orders

A meeting of deep state members. Trump needs to see that attendees list so he can fire them all.
If the president can't fire a Federal employee we need that Law changed fast

The Fed is like Bizarro World, the exact opposite of the private sector. They both promote and protect incompetency and waste because they are all about protecting themselves while spending other people's money.

True if legal orders. If illegal orders, probably be sacked anyway. Afterall, you cannot exercise fascist top down control legal or illegal, if Generals will not go along.
Do you really think that Mike Pompeo (assuming he will be SECDEF) would accept and/or issue an illegal order?

Trump has suggested he would be open to using active-duty forces for domestic law enforcement and mass deportations and has indicated he wants to stack the federal government with loyalists and “clean out corrupt actors” in the US national security establishment.

why is there any problem with this?

Remember the DC uproard in 2020? tRump gave the 82nd airborne orders to go to DC and assume police actions. The 82nd followed his order and dispatched troops to just outside of DC where they promptly played cards and played sports. It wasn't against the UCMJ to mobilize to DC but it was an illegal order to use them for Police Actions against civilians.

The first thing Trump should do is court martial Milley.

This statement proves that you get too much of your politics from bad television and movies. You would never say such a thing if you actually knew what a court martial was.

"Court martial" is not a verb, it's a noun. It's not something that you do to someone. A court martial is a.....court! It's a military court. Plain and simple. Hence the "court" and the "martial". Wild, I know....

So thank you for playing. In the future please look up the meaning of SAT words before you attempt to use them in a sentence.

Trump will almost have to use active duty military at the border. The cartels have seized an incredible amount of land along the border and will not give it up.

Trump and Elon need to fix that.

I believe that is their Prime Directive. Private business MUST run efficiently or they run out of money and fail. DJT and Elon intend to try to impress as much of that need for efficiency and effectiveness as they can because the Feds #1 problem is that they waste so much money because it isn't their money they are spending and think there is always more.

If government were run like a business, we could all own 2nd homes.

Trump took a million of his dad's money building apartments in Queens and built that into a multi-billion dollar international conglomerate.

Elon came here on a visa from Africa and now builds better space rockets than the combined forces of NASA and Boeing.

THESE are the kinds of people we need running the country.

Washington DC is about to get a big enema.

Yes, in the television shows and the movies. But in real life, no.

An individual does not get subjected to a trial. If you are charged with a crime, you are not subjected to a trial. You have the right to demand a trial. That is real life.

Courts martial are convened to conduct legal matters under military law, just like civilian courts are convened to conduct legal matters under civilian law. To use "court martial" as a verb makes no more sense than to use "court" (in the legal sense) as a verb for a civilian. Does a police officer "court" you when charging you with a crime? No. Only morons who don't know what they're talking about would said either.

It is clear you've never been in the military. You also think a lot of yourself to contest Merriam Webster. A person can be COURT MARTIALED. It has been done since there have been court martials. Take your contention up with Merriam Webster, I am sure they'll tell you to go pack sand.

The Actives CANNOT be used on the border like that without the express permission of Congress.

Truman fired one of America's finest Generals so it should not shock Americans to have Trump fire Milley. Old Soldiers never die, they just fade away.
If you think Mac Aurthur was one of America's finest generals, you are a moron. Mac surrounded himself with yes men and believed his own propaganda. He attacked the WWI vets demonstrating for benefits, he screwed up the defense of the Philippines by the numbers, he screwed up the defense of Korea, he refused to believe the intelligence from his own G-2 that the Chinese were about to attack at Chosin, he openly disrespected the POTUS in both WWII and Korea. He consistently underestimated his enemies and lied to his allies. The only reason he had any victories in WWII and Korea was a massive technological and numerical superiority over his opponents.

Donald Trump as Commander in Chief can tell the Generals to go pound sand.
~~~~~~
Indeed, remember when Harry S. Truman relieved Gen. MacArthur from duty.
Presidents have the authority to fire (releived of duty) any officer of the military that refuses to obey orders of the president.
Gen. Milley, Austin, Vindman, and others at the Pentagon that have contributed to the decline of our military overall,
It appears that Obama went steps further by purging the General Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer Corps of our military across the board, thus weakening our military ans can bee seen today.
