The Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court's report is due soon as it was directed to "complete its report within 180 days of its first public meeting." That first meeting was on May 19th and so 180 days puts the due date at November 15th.

I'll predict the recommended size of the court will be held to its present 9 members but amends the Constitution to take away Congress' power to amend that number.

If it goes on to do something about the Senate sitting on the nominations of Federal judges without taking any action, I'd be delighted.

It will stay at 9

If congress wants to change it another number, say 8, they can.

I was at 7 members back in the 1800s and some president increased it to 9 so that he could pick 2 new members, which is cheating.

I agree. They don't need more justices. What they have is plenty to do what they need to do.

I'll be interested in seeing if they will recommend a mandatory retirement age, or setting a fixed number of years a Supreme Justice can serve?
